The party (Dominic, Ignatius, and Jack with Drusila and Yarol) began their trek north to Silver Hold under ominous clouds.  The night after the giants ambush, a massive storm blew up, punctuated by a huge bolt of black lighting that smothered all light.  The bolt had struck near Amberton, site of the destroyed ghost Czets army.  The next day after some study, Ignatius used his newly discovered spell of teleport to take them to Silver Hold, almost directly.
Once there they conferred with the dwarven leaders.  The goblins had large forces just north and south of the town as well as 5 cannon trained on it at all times.  The goblins had dug into the lowest levels of their mines and carefully prepared to break through into new areas as soon as their first breach was closed.  Knowing the enemey must have a base camp nearby, the party began to search the nearby hills with magic and Jacks scouting.  Eventually Dominic was able to pierce the powerful illusion cloaking one hill and find their hideout.  As the prepared to attack the next day, Jack went into the mines to aid in the fighting.  After Seriously wounding one of the elite tunnel fighters, he was struck down by a silent
phantasmal killer
After forsaking his less than perfect afterlife, he and the others began to sneak up on the enemy fortification.  It was then that a well-concealed sniper struck.  After turning Dominic into a pincushion to little effect, he fled, escaping the party.  The poison in the arrows though nearly finished Dominic and only his magic saved him.  Eventually they made their way into the seemingly unguarded structure, into the tunnels below.  Near the entrance they were again ambushed by archers shooting through murder holes.  After burning and shooting them to death, they pushed deeper into the tunnels.  There they silenced both bells and trolls, crushed bands of bugbears, slew giants, and fought their way straight into the goblin barracks.  After routing the troops and scaring off the goblin wizard with an
insect plague, the pushed on into the true depths of the goblin mines until they were under the dwarven fortifications.
Along the way, they had to cut a path through some goblins and stop some giants with a
wall of force, but soon they were at a fork in the tunnel, where some goblins were dragging large barrels of black powder leaving a trail behind them.  It was here that jack blew up one of the casks putting a crack in the ceiling and summoning reinforcements to overwhelm the weakened party.  Dominic collapsed the tunnel, just as Ignatius teleported them out and goblins explosive charges went off.  Luckily, the dwarven mines did not collapse in the ensuing earthquake.
Tired, but their mission completed, the group teleported to Velen.  There they met with Branwyn, Ignatiuss great-grandfather and retrieved their stuff they had left behind when Ignatius was kidnapped to the plane of shadow.  They bought food, chatted with relatives, and finally learned that Ignatiuss brother had been involved in the
tome of golem creation scandal that landed them in trouble in Tethyr.
The next day, they teleported home and then teleported to Zandran to buy food and supplies.  It was there that they received word from their scouts that the giants were coming.  Strangely though, nothing occurred either that day or the next.  It was Dominic who confirmed that the army of dead was coming, an army even giants feared.
