Bistro
Juridical Terminology Information System Bolzano

Isabella Ties

Bolzano

The area Language and Law of the European Academy of Bolzano focuses on research about linguistics and legal practice, involving not only the complex relationship between language and law, but also the legal equality of the German and Italian languages in South Tyrol. Computerized linguistic support is indispensable to manage the large amounts of data which this legislation represents. Bistro offers a set of search functions. These allow to search a term in the Bistro terminological database, to search in a legal corpus of Italian, German and Ladin texts and to search for legal texts in the Internet.
