Some Finnish people moved from Finland to Ingria in 17 century (in that time Finland was subordinate to Sweden). Their descendents speak specific dialect and have some their own cultural traditions, so they became the special ethnic group however this people stay Lutherns like their relations in Finland. Ingrian Finns never had any State organisatons but they had been saving their language and culture. Unfortunately, only several elderly persons speaking ingrian Finnish dialect remain now in some villages, they all speak also russin. Young people do not speak Finnish. This year my students and I went to an expedition to Ingria and made sociolinguistical research. Our questionnaire included following questions:

8.Which language, in your opinion, you/ your children have to know?

12.Which language did you speak in your childhood?
13.Which language do you use now more often?
14.Which language do you speak with your parents/husband (wife)/children?
15.In which language do you sing songs?
16.Do you know finnish folklore?
17.Do you heard Finland radio?
18.Do you read Finland nespapers?
19.People of what nationality live in you neighbourhood?
20.Do you understand their languages?
21.Which language do you speak with them?
22.Do you understand finnish people from Finland?
23.Would you like to immigrate to Finland?
24.Are you traditions different from russian ones?
25.What nationality of husband/wife of your daughter/son is preferable.
26.Nationality of your children?
27.Religion.
This questionnaire let me draw some interesting conclusions about ingrain Finn sociolinguistical situation: degree of language knowing and its age stratification, relation to their mother tongue and its age stratification, relation to Finnisn of Finland in comparison of their own dialect, relation to neighbour villages languages - Votic and Ingrian (clause relatine) etc, etc.(Unfortunately, the size of this abstract do not let me present all conclusions of my investigation.
