Things I've Learned in the past few months

The Difference between a wise man and a fool is that a fool’s mistakes never teach him anything.

Full moons are a thousand times cooler when it’s less than 5 degrees above freezing and it’s cloudy out.

The greatest acts of evil in history aren’t committed by those who know they’re evil, but by those who think they’re righteous.

Taking yourself too seriously leads to ulcers and short life, not happiness.

You can’t take the high road when the mistake was your own.

Before I developed an attitude, my Dad was the coolest guy in the world.  He still is.

Friends are friends no matter who owes whom money.

Music snobs just generally piss me off.

Some people, no matter how hard you work at it, will never EVER be worthy of your trust.

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on ME.

ET is just a damned good movie, no matter how old you are.

Indiana Jones and James Bond are the 2 coolest men ever, fictional or not.

Some teachers let their fixation on their reputations stop them from being good teachers.  Which defeats the purpose, in my view.

I have a love/hate relationship with America, but a hate/hate relationship with the Liberal Government.

I keep failing because I’m scared to succeed.

All I ever wanted was to feel loved and like I was important to someone who didn’t share my last name.

The past is much easier to leave behind when it’s full of forgettable events.  Not so much when it’s amazingly full and interesting.

I can be a sanctimonious jackass.  Actually, I tend to be, more often than not.

I screw up my relationships, subconsciously, on purpose because I’m scared to let people close enough to do REAL damage.

I can forgive, but I’m utterly incapable of forgetting.

There’s a certain unavoidable joy in paying off your debts…  you feel like you’ve got money even when your bank balance is zero, because at least it’s not NEGATIVE.

I really intensely dislike 20th century neo-classical music.
