| This is quite an interesting story with a setting in 1400 Rome (or is it Italy???) This story is mainly about the political struggle of religious leaders to rule Rome and this book has shown the complex relationship and the manipulation to achieve the Pope position. There are many terms that I am not able to translate as I am not a Catholic, so everyone is a priest or pastor to me. If I am not wrong, a priest cannot marry. The story starts by the offering of an unborn child to the devil by the baby's father. The mother of the baby was strike by lightning when she was heavily pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy later. But she heard voices and was hypotised which ended up being strike. But the mother heard the words "The agreement is on" very clearly and from this she understand that her son is a victim of sacrifices. The mother knowing that the baby boy she had gave birth to was demonic and tried to kill him but ended up burning the whole house. Miraciously, the baby escaped unhurt when his mother pass away.... |
| The father of this demonic boy is actually a priest.(He should not be married or have children but he had women and children as well) This priest had sold his son to the demon so that once he became the Pope, the boy is the payment to the devil. When the boy, Jie Sai Rui grew up, he was very clever and handsome, he always try to makes his father love him but failed as he was the demon's son The story goes on about his fight for power, recognition and even for his father's love which he had lots of competition from a bratty half-brother. it also involve the love for him by his half-sister as well as friendship with a famous killer.... The volume had not end, up to volume 6 Comment: This story is rather unique. It is about power fight in religion. Nice storyline. |
