Celestial Standardbreds
Trotting up a storm since 2001
Celestial STB's began racing in 2001, with the purchase of an abandoned racetrack in Evansville, IN, just yards from the Ohio river. There were no plans to reopen the track for racing, but the facility was turned into a first rate training track, attracting boarders from all over the Kentuckiana area.

Evantually the decision was made to sell the remodeled training facility and move the entire operation to Florida in 2003, which meant a hiatus from racing.

"The decision to leave Indiana was a difficult and painful one," says Arianne Ferguson, owner and Manager of the operation."I sold the facility after my divorce, and I just needed a change of scenery."  The change from pinecones to palm trees seemed to do the trick, as many winners and champions were born and trained in Florida, including MCH pacing colt Underwater, SW/WCH pacing mare Insanity, and MSW/WCH pacing gelding Monarch.  Also cutting his teeth on the sawgrass is MHA 2CTOTY in 2004: Little Dirt Road.

However, while several sucessful foals were bred in Florida, several more did not fare well in the climate and on the soft sands.  After many fine prospects came up lame in the spring of 2005, Ms Ferguson decided another change was in order.

"We purchased a gorgeous facility in New York State," said the owner.  "The decision was easy, since there was a very prominent New York Breeder's Incentive in place at two New York tracks.".

MSW/CH/MHA 2cTOTY
LITTLE DIRT ROAD is standing his first seasons at the facility, and is open on a limited basis to outside mares.

The breeding operation is located in rural New York State.  The exact details of the location are to remain private.  Also standing to outside mares is MSW Straightjacket p,3T1:59, whose first full crops are placing well, including SW/WCH/NTR Insanity p,3,1:51.3, and a host of other winners. No plans are in the works to purchase another stallion at press time.
