CONTRACT FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF
THE CELESTIAL STRINGS
agrees to provide a string quartet to the following person _______________________________
at the following location ___________________________________________________________________,
to start performing at __________________ o'clock and to end the service at ___________________ o'clock
on ____________________________, 20___.
__________________________________agrees to pay the gross fee of $________________ for this service.
The following terms are understood and agreed to:
1. Attire will be formal black unless otherwise specified.
2. Detailed map and or directions to the place of engagement must be provided to the musicians
at least two weeks prior to the engagement.
3. It is understood that the purchaser must fill out the music selection form at least two weeks prior to the
engagement.
4. It is understood that some instruments, particularly string, are extremely valuable, and are susceptible
to damage when exposed to certain climatic variations, such as rain, direct sunlight and temperatures
below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It is understood that performers must be provided with shelter from rain
and direct sunlight and that the temperature must be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
5. The musicians will be afforded a 5 minute break for every hour played.
6. Four straight-back chairs WITHOUT arms will be provided for the musicians.
7. Parking must be provided at the performance location.
8. Purchaser must pay the total amount of the services at the engagement immediately after the performance
in one check made out to Celestial Strings.
9. Overtime will be billed at the rate of $220 per half-hour for the entire quartet.
10. It is agreed that the Purchaser will pay a deposit for 50% of the total fee when submitting this contract.
a. If the purchaser cancels this contract, the purchaser agrees to forfeit the full deposit.
