Upon arrival of Canada, I have been learning a lot of the French lingo here.
So far I've been learning a lot of curse words. I don't know why, but
people enjoy corrupting others.
Church words (basically anything churchy is a bad word that means either damn
or f*** or both)
- (le) tabernak (that just means tabernacle)
- variations of that: tabarnouche, tabarouette (G rated)
- merde/marde (poo poo)
- sacrement (same word in English, I think)
- osti (host or body of Christ)
- Criss (Christ, himself)
My new French teacher (Marc Lavertu) is teaching me some useful words
- amer (bitter)
- emeute (riot)
- (la) caille (quail)
- (la?) coffre (trunk, of a car) actual spelling is unknown. i
wonder if i'm missing a few extra letters
- boeuf != buff (pronounced beuf and boof, meaning beef and food)
- tenue osée (lightly dressed)
- avoir la jambe légère (to be sexually suggestive)
-
Oh here are a few phrases to get you totally messed up.
- Je pue de cul (My butt stinks).
