Butterfly
Butterflies flutter by.
If butter could fly,
Would it fly so high,
So high in the sky,
Up to the sun?
Would it last?
Would it melt?

Could its wings be made of sugar,
A delicate lace?
Could it fly so low,
So close to the sea,
Where the water would wave,
And its wings dissolve?
Would it last?
Would it fall?

What if butter and houses,
And horses could fly?
Would they fly so high,
And touch the sky?
Would they fly so low,
And touch the sea?
Butterflies flutter by.
Beautiful butterflies.
