As Long As You Believe
As I sit under the moonlight and watch the silver river,
A girl in golden tresses reaches out to me.
And takes my hand, she leads me to the river.
Into the night we disappear, a maze of rose and gold,
Appear before me, challenging my inner self,
We slowly rise over the walls and fly away.
Resting in emerald fields, the jade leaves twinkle gently.
She mentioned a palace, beautiful and majestic,
And of a raven-haired girl-queen. Following a golden path,
We pass ruby roses and crystal clear waters.
And there it was, lit by a blue flame, a gold and crystal palace
Faeries and nymphs, with long silver veils, and white lilies in their hair,
Danced in circles, 'round the blue flame of intellect and imagination.
Stopping the ring dance, falling on bended knee, I was led forward,
And raised on a white cloud, and dressed in rich robes,
Precious jewels placed 'round my neck,
And a sapphire and diamond crown set upon my head.
"This land is yours, My Queen, when ever you may slumber,
As long as you believe."
As the golden-haired girl said these few words, the world melted around us.
And there we were standing by my river,
In the world in which I was born into, and my faery said as she left,
"As long as you believe."
