I met Celeste in our Sophomore year of high school. She was quiet and shy, but she had an engaging spirit emanating from her intense blue eyes that stirred curiosity within me. It was a challenge gaining her trust so that I might get to know her, and the friendship that we built was worth the effort. Since I have known her, Celeste has proven to be an extraordinary young woman intelligent and wise and yet blithe and full of life.
She is a Renaissance Woman talented in technical areas such as math, science and computers as well as in the creative fields of art, literature, music and dance. Her good nature makes her a benign and benevolent companion, who is always eager to lend a hand or just to listen to a friend in need. She is always enthusiastic to share her talents and to enhance her life by expanding her horizons. She delights audiences by participating in the creations of numerous successful performances and performing Irish Step in my small dancing company. She passionately and diligently teaches herself the craft of astrology and tarot, the art of origami, and the wonder of the poetry, which you experience on this site. All these qualities make her intriguing to be with, a pleasure to know, and it is a blessing to be able to call her a friend.
On an academic note, Celeste has good grades and is a member of the Math League. She was also inducted into both the National Honor Society and the Science Honor Society. Her intelligence moves her toward resolute beliefs of freedom, equality and justice, which she ardently advocates. This strong individual sticks to her convictions and defends what is right even in the most arduous of circumstances. She is truly a noble character, who stands beside her friends in times of need and trial. If only her love for others and of life could spread further, this world would truly be blessed. |
