The 2nd Digidestines-
Gennai's house





     "Now, look up at the sky."   Gennai told the children.
     "What kind of directions are those?"  Chris phswaed.
     "Very good ones, if you'd only look."  Gennai snapped back.
     "All right, all right...  sheez, sorry gramps."  he muttered under his
breath.
     Everyone looked up at the sky.  There were two search lights flashing
around in the air.
     "Just follow these lights, now, and you'll reach my house!  I have to
go now, goodbye!  Oh, and for Tami, I have someone for you to meet when you
get here, and aslo others for the rest of you!"  and the image dissappered.
     "He's a weird little man."  Chris crossed his arms.
     "Yeah..."  Daisu said sort of dazily, just standing there, looking off
into the distance actually at nothing.
     "You ok Daisu?"  Liz put a hand on his shoulder.
     "Whu-?"  Daisu said rather loudly, snapping awake.  "I-I'm sorry, I
don't know what's wrong with me... I'm just, I don't know.  I had a funny
feeling, like- oh, never mind.  Let's get going, huh kids?"
     "Ok Daisu!"  Agumon said.
     <Old faithful.>  Gabumon thought.  <Just like him and Tai.  Or me and
Matt!  How I miss him... >
     <Those two are like two peices of corn on a stalk!  Or is it two seads
in an apple?  Or, oh never mind.>  Tiki pondered.
     <I wonder when we're gonna get an actual good meal.>  Chris held his
stomach.  <Maybe 'gramps'll' have something at his little house... >
     <Chris looks like he's hungary again!>  Gomamon rolled his eyes.
     <Tiki looks confused... >  Palmon thought, confused.  Tiki was counting
on her fingers, then shaking her head, then rolling her, then sighing, and
she didn't notice the tree in front of her until she bumped into it.
     "You Okay Tiki?"  Palmon asked.
     "Ooooh, I think so!"  Tiki stood up and brushed herself off.  "At least
I didn't hurt myself worse!"
     "Yeah, too bad."  Chris smirked.
     "Oh shut up!"  Tiki scowled.
     "Yak yak yak... "  Chris held a hand up and started imitating her.
     "Liz, are you sure this Gennai guy is nice?"  Tami asked her worridly.
     Liz smiled brightly at her.
     "Of course!  I've met him before!"  she said, little white lie.
     "You have?"  Yamo asked, raising an eyebrow.
     Liz looked at him with a look that made him shut up.
     "Of course!"  Mika said right away.  "I've met him too."
     "You have?"  Daisu asked stupidly.  Everyone looked at him.  "Uh, never
mind!"
     "I'm hungry."  Chris staggered.
     "You're always hungry!"  Gomamon grinned.
     "Oh, whadyou know?"  he shot back.
     "Well, alot more than you!"
     "You're awfully quiet Wix.  What's bothering you?"  Akira finally said
to the boy.
     "Nothing."  Wix said and looked away.
     "Right."  Akira raised his eyebrows.
     "Well, I guess so... I'm just, well, oh, I don't know!  It's Tami.  I'm
worried about her.  I mean, she has no idea how she got here and no past
memory of a before home.  What if her father's dead?  Or she's just, oh I
don't know!"  he turned away, again, this time angrily.
     "I know what you mean.  If she doesn't have any parents, and has
nothing or noone to go back to.  It's a scary thought Wix.  Even if it
doesn't seem so.  YOu've grown attached to her, that I can see.  Like a
brother/sister thing.  Right?"
     "Very."  Wix looked down at the ground.  Out of the corner of his eye
he could spot Gabumon looking at him out of the corner of his eye.  They
both looked away quickly.  "Why're you looking at me like that?"
     "I'm not!"  Gabumon said innocently.
     "Sure you aren't."  Wix looked at him obviously.
     "Well, I'm just thinking about your father."
     "Father Father Father!  That's all you digimon talk about!  How much we
remind you of our parents.  I mean, not in a bad way Gabumon.  I didn't mean
that in a bad way."
     "It's all right!  I just can't help it.  It's like you're a clone of
him.  Only a different style of clothes."
     The partners laughed at each other.
     "Hey look guys!"  Patamon said.  "We're here!  At Gennai's house!"
     "Awsome!"  Yamo thrust a fist up into the air.
     "But... it's in the middle of that lake!  The lights I mean.  Is his
house at the bottom of it?"  Mika asked.
     "It sure is."  Gatomon purred.
     "Weird."  Tami said.
     "Come on down!"  Gomamon jumped into the lake, and swam down.
     "Gomamon?"  Chris stared down.  Then, the water started shaking, making
ripples across and everywhere, and the water part, revealing stairs.
     "Cool!"  Tiki ran down them.
     "Wait Tiki!"  Palmon ran after her.
     "Yeah wait up!"  Daisu and the others ran after her.
     "Whoa."  Liz said.  They walked down the stairs slowly, inspecting the
water formation.  "This is freaky!"
     "Whoa!"  Akira said.  They had reached the bottom of the stairs, and
before them was Gennai's house.
     "Cool."  Wix walked up to it very casually and knocked on the door.
     The door opened without anyone opening it, and they walked inside.
     There, sitting around a table, were the very first set of the
digidestined.  In other words, their parents.

     "Dad?!  What the heck!"  Wix cried out.
     "Momma!  Dadda!"  Yamo and Mika ran inside to Takeru and Hikari and
hugged them, vice versa.
     "Wix!"  Matt smiled and went up to him and hugged him.  "Oh, Gabumon!" 
he hugged his old digimon friend.  "How are you two?"
     "Oh Matt!  I've missed you so much!  We're doing well!"  Gabumon said
happily.
     "B-but what're you doing here Pop?"  Wix asked, as the rest of the
children (and digimon) ran to greet their parents, also asking the same
question.
     "We're here because Gennai called us."  Tai stood up.  "He knows how to
defeat Swarthimon, even though it's kindof stupid. Um, because I don't know
why he asked you kids here and then he calls us and-!"
     "Sit DOWN Tai.  You'll confuse yourself."  Sora pulled him down.
     "What?"  he scratched his head.
     "Gennai said that-"  Sora started, but was interrupted.
     "Because I know how to defeat Swarthimon."  came in a voice.
     "Oh, you're Gennai!"  Akira smiled, acknowledging him for the first
time.  The digimon, yet mistaken for a human once, walked in, hands behind
back.
     "Yes, I am."  he said.  "I suppose you're all very tired, and it is
late!  I'll tell you in the morning about Swarthimon, and who can do what,
but for now go to bed.  Even I have to get my beauty sleep."
     "Ha!  Beauty nothin'!"  Chris said, but was smacked on the back of his
head by his mother.
     "Oh fine."  Tai said.  "Just call us in here tell us to go to bed!"
     "Shut up Tai."  Matt said.
     Tai stuck out his tongue.  But Sora smacked him on the head, and he
stopped.
     "Excuse me for a moment.  I have to get someone that's been waiting to
meet Tami."  Gennai left the room and went off.
     "What?"  Mimi looked around the room and spotted the girl.  "Oh, you
must be Tami!  That's such a pretty name why don't you sit down?"
     "Okay."  she said shyly and sat in between Wix and Liz.  "Are you
Tiki's mother?"
     "Mmm hmm."  Mimi said sweetly.  "And he's her father."  she pointed to
Joe.
     "Cool!  Let's hit a song!"  Chris raised his hand, ready to strike his
guitar, but Joe grabbed the guitar and set it away from Chris.
     "Hey!"  Chris objected.
     "Hey, I have a big of a headache enough from the trip to here!"
     "You always have a headache Joe."  Tai said.
     Everyone laughed.
     "I feel ill."  Joe muttered under his breath.
     "So, what's happened?"  Sora asked Liz, first privately, but then the
others joined in.
     "Um... well, you wanna tell Akira?  You're better at that kinda
stuff... "  Liz turned to him.
     "Well, ok, I guess so.  When we first got here- "  Akira told the tale,
helped by Daisu, Wix, and Mika.
     "Wow.  You've been busy."  Matt said casually.
     Wix grinned and yawned.
     "Man I'm tired."  he said.
     "Ditto!"  Tiki said.
     "What they said... "  Yamo closed his eyes and leaned against Hikari.
     "I'm back!"  Gennai said.
     "Wow, it only took you a half hour to get back!"  Chris said
sarcastically.
     "I had some problems I had to take care of."  Gennai snapped back,
already disliking the boy.  "Anyway, Tami, come forward."  he motioned.
     "What is it?"  she asked, skipping up to him eagerly.
     "I'd like you to meet Buimon, your digimon partner!"  A little blue
figure peeked out from behind him and waved at her, then stepped out.  He
looked somewhat like a dinosaur, yet quite not like one.  He was blue all
over, except for his white belly and mouth.  His stood upright and had claws
coming out from his feet, bright red eyes, and long ears striking out.
      "Buimon!"  Tai brightened as he saw the little digimon, who jumped at
his name called.
      "Oh, it's you Tai!"  Buimon said.
      "Geez, that's mean you're-" he pointed to Tami, "-Daisuke's daughter! 
Dude!"
      "Where is Daisuke anyhow?  Shouldn't he be here?"  the adorable
digimon asked.  No one answered.  Then Tai broke the silence.
      "We don't know... but we think, that, well... "  Tai swallowed; Sora
put her hand on his shoulder.  "That he's dead.  We haven't seen him for a
long time, and there isn't any records of him in Japan... "  he finished and
bit his lip, looking down.  Buimon jumped at the proclamation, then stared
the floor, looking so sad that you could break down into tears.
      "But he might not be!"  Sora said, trying to help.
      "I know."  Buimon wiped away the tears.  Then he leaped on Tami and
hugged her.  "But I'm glad I know his daughter!"
      "Aww... "  Tami smiled.
      "All right then."  Gennai began.  "I'll show you your rooms now, and
in the morning I'll tell you how to defeat your enemy.  You need the rest
after all!"
      "Good!  I've been wanting a nice soft bed for a long time!"  Chris
said.
      "Too bad, you have to sleep on the floor."
      "What!"
      "No no, I'm just kidding.  Just go into that room and turn left!  I
suppose I can get back to the library now... "
      "Wait Gennai, I want to go with you!  I'd like to talk."  Izzy ran
after him, and Akira followed.  The others, however, went with Gennai's
directions and into their bedroom.  There were sixteen beds, eight on one
side, and eight on the other.  Yamo ran up onto one of them and started
jumping up and down.  Takeru snatched him off of the bed and set him on the
ground.
      "Huh?"  Sora looked at her daughter.
      "What's up mum?"  Liz asked.
      "You dont have... the Crest of Love.  I-It's Courage now!"  Sora said,
startled.
      "Oh, um, yeah!"  Daisu butted in.  "They kind of switched."  he said
stupidly.
      "What?"  their parents cried.
      "Well, you see, they realized that Daisu deserved Love, but Liz
deserved Courage, and the crests somehow switched around.  I don't know how,
but they did."  Akira walked in the room, followed by Izzy.
      "Prodigious."  Izzy grinned.
      "What he said!"  Daisu pointed.
      "Oh come on let's go to sleep!  I'm awfully tired... "  Tiki rubbed
her eyes and fell into one of the beds.  "Oooh... they're nice and soft!"
      Chris rolled his eyes.  But nevertheless he fell down into the bed
next to her.
      "I think so!"  Mimi said, sitting on one of them.  She slipped of her
shoes, and took out the pinns that held her hair up.  Everyone else did the
same.
      "Joe, come sleep with me!  These beds are big enough."  Mimi pleaded. 
  Joe blushed the deepest blush ever seen, Tai thought.
      "M-Mimi,"  he whispered nervously, "I'll just sleep in the one next to
you, okay?"
      "No really Joe it's okay!  Me and Gomamon will sleep in this one!" 
Palmon shoved him onto the other bed, and leaped onto his.
      "We will?"  Gomamon asked.
      "Yes!"  Palmon grabbed him and shoved him on the bed.
      "Goodnight Tai."  Sora kissed her husband as they crept into seperate
beds with their digimon partners.
      "Night Sora!"  Tai replied.
      "Ewww!"  Yamo stuck out his tongue.
      "Hey, you'll be doin' it someday too and lovin' it!"  Takeru said to
his son.  Kari gave him a stern lok and her stopped grinning.
      "I think it's romantic!"  Mika smiled.
      "I think it's sick."  Wix rolled over.
      "Um, Wix, would you mind if I slept with your father?"  Gabumon asked
nervously.
      "Of course not!"  Wix smiled.  "I don't like sleeping with stuffed
animals.  I didn't even sleep in my parents' bed when I was little.  Or
stuffed animals.  Oh never mind... well go over there!"
      "Thanks you Wix!"  and he rushed over to the other bed.
      "Goodnight Akira."  Izzy said to the boy.
      "Goodnight Professer."  Akira said.
      "Izzy."
      "Izzy, then."
      "Goodnight Izzy, Akira!"  Tentomon crawled into Akira's bed.
      "Goodnight" was their stimultaneous reply.
      "Goodnight everyone, and a good sleep!"  Joe said.
      "Just go to sleep will ya!"  Tai said crankily, and the lights went
out.
      "Hey, who killed the lights?"  Matt asked into the darkness.
      "Shut up!"  Tai said.

      "Boy Chris, why don't you just eat the bones?"
      "I was hungry!"  Chris looked at Liz funny.
      "Mmm, that sure was good!"  Daisu grinned.
      "Hey, where're all the grown-ups?"  Yamo asked.
      "They're busy in another room doing something or other."  Tiki said.
      "I bet!"  Chris rolled his eyes.
      "What do you mean?"  Mika asked.
      "Nothing."  He shrugged.
      "O-kay then!"  She sighed.
      "Where's Gennai?"  Akira asked.
      "Probably talking with them!"  Mika said.
      "I'd sure like to know what about."
      "Ditto."  Chris said.
      "I'm still tired Mika."  Yamo put his hand to his mouth.
      "Prof. Izumi!  What's been going on in that other room?"  Akira stood
up as Izzy came in the room.
      "Well, Gennai has been explaining some things to us about Swarthimon. 
He said he wouldn't say the rest until you guys were in there with us,
especially Tami.  So I just came in here to get you."
      "All right."  Akira said.  "C'mon everyone."
      "Wassup Gennai?"  Daisu asked.
      "I've come to the conclusion of telling you about Swarthimon."  said
the digi-human.
      "Finally!"  Tai threw his hands up in the air.
      "Swarthimon is actually a sort of a demon... who has taken over a
human body-" everyone gasped.  "-and that human is not a digi-human like
myself but from your world."
      "Who is he?"  Sora asked.
      "See if you can guess, by using Tami as a clue."
      "What do you mean?"  Matt asked.
      "Guess!"
      Wix held Tami, and she held onto his arm.
      "Huh?  Ah!  Gennai, you don't mean that Swarthimon is... is-"  Tai
thought suddenly.
      "Yes Taichi, he is."
      "No... it can't be.  Daisuke would never-!"
      "It is not Daisuke who is the monster, Taichi.  It is the monster who
has taken over his body who has done the damage.  That's why Tami was in his
castle."
      "I don't understand!  Is Daiske actually Swarthimon?"  Mimi asked.
      "Yes, he is."  Gennai said.  "But let me esplain.  He was taken over
by a digi-demon, therefore making him Swarthimon."
      "But how are we gonna defeat him then without hurting Daisuke?" 
Takeru asked.
      "I don't know."  Gennai said.  "But you should fine a way.  Perhaps
Tami could do it.  After all she is his daughter.  Also remember this, once
you destroy the demon that has taken over the boy's body, then everything
will be fixed.  And it is time you left now, and don't say you're not
ready!"
      "Gennai, do you have a map to his castle?"  Izzy asked.
      "I already do Prof."  Akira said.
      "Right.  Then let's get going!"  Tai said.
