Well, the Prologue hopefully explained what was going on.  This story
takes place in the future.  I've also made entirely new characters and
Digimon.  I decide to use My Point Of View style.  If you like/don't like
this format, say so, I'll be glad to change/continue with it.  And BTW, I
will have A NEW EVIL on hold until this is finished.

Digimon 2250  Part 1.  The Calling of Heros.
By Raze.

Due to some dialouge containing intense violence, cursing, and mauture
themes, this fic is self rated PG-13.  Read at your own risk

**Raymond**

I casually walked into the fast food resturant.  Not the cleanest I've
seen, but there were only a few people and I was starving.  I walked to a
table where a two women were chatting.  This is gonna be easy.  I thought to
myself.  I moved no more than ten feet away to them, then stared out the
window.  The two women noticed me, and with puzzled expressions, looked out
the window too.  Now.  Go!  In a single motion, I scooped up an entire
package of chicken wings, and a half empty soda bottle into my pockets, then
casually headed to the door.
    "Hey, you!"
Oh crap, I'm dead.  I thought to myself.
    "Thief!"  He stole our food!"
I bolted.  Closely behind were the foosteps of the two women, and
probably the manager.  Through the alley, over the fence with a single hand,
across the empty street, into another alley.  I was pretty sure I'd lost
them.  I sat down next to an old crate with a dirty blanket on top, and laid
out what I'd stolen.  Lost a chicken wing or two, and the soda spilt a
little, but it was a good haul.
My name is Raymond  (or just Ray if you want).  I'm 14, and I live the
street life.  I'm one of those guys you see on the sidewalk in rags, I have
spare change as my life savings, and when I'm hungry, I steal.  It's a hard
life.  I barely got through last winter.  I used to have a family.  Then when
one wrong spark from faulty wiring happened to land on the wooden cabinet and
burnt the whole house down along with my family and life.  Ever since, I've
been living on the streets, and I wouldn't be caught dead in an orphanage.
Well, that's pretty much it.  Line for autographs starts by the dumpster.
One more thing, it's the year 2250.  Humans aren't having a great time
right now.  Oh sure, we have cures for cancer, cities on the Moon and Mars,
crap like that.  But 2 years ago, a meteorite landed smack dab in the middle
of the Eastern Continents.  So long Russia, China, and India, hello miles of
desert or taundra.  Japan (where I am now) is expirenencing extra cold
winters and summers in the 60's.  Europe and southern Africa are holding
their own.  The Americans are under a cloud of dust the giant rock kicked up
and it's apparently keeping in the heat.  So while we freeze, they fry.  Our
prez says that we'll be back on track by 2255, but at this rate, I doubt it.
So far, about half the remaining humans moved to Mars or the Moon.
Well like in all stories, everything in my life suddenly went into spin
drive.  I was chowing down on the last few chicken wings, when I heard a
nearby trash can rattle.  Suddenly, I wasn't feeling hungry anymore.  I got
up, reached in, and pulled out a rather odd looking thing.  It was a light
blue, square, jagged edges, and a blank screen in the middle.  A single
button jutting out of one corner  What's this, a clock?  The object was hard
and warm, like it was alive.  Then this mysterious clock, or whatever it is,
starts glowing, and I'm engulfed in whiteness.

**Milo**

Ahh, Mars.  The planet's endless deserts of red dirt reminded me of good
ol` Austrailia.  My parents said it wasn't safe on Earth anymore.  Some sort
of meteorite hit into Earth.  We were under a big dust cloud for a good 2
years before we finally decided to pack up and move.  So now we live on the
big red rock.  Me, Mum and Dad.  It was fun the first few days, bouncin'
higher than `roos.  Still get a kick out of it.
I'm Milo, the Aussie kid.  I'm 13, and I live on Mars.  What else is
there to tell?
I was relaxing in the observatory, watching the small sun set in the
distance.
"Oi!  Milo!  The hoverbike blew an air coil!  Need 'yer help."  Dad
called up from the stairs.  Nothing big.  I slipped on an air filter and a
heat jacket.  And manually opened the door outside.  I went to the garage,
took out the stuff I needed.  My Dad walked in a minuet later.  We set to
work.  Five minuets later, I'd found out that the wire was rusted up, cutting
off electricity to it.  Easy to replace.  Dad walked back into the house
again, saying I could fix it up myself.  Well, I was welding the new wire in
with the new one, and I stood up, admiring my work.  As long as I was
outside, might as well take this hunk of junk for a spin.
"I'm takin' the hoverbike for a test run Mum!"
    "Dinner's in thirty!"
I swung my leg over the bike, turned it on, and floored it.  Nothing took
my mind off the daily pressures of life more than Hoverbiking.  I rode
through the red desert, flying over hills, jumping craters, making this rusty
old tin can go faster than my parents would've liked.  I made a long, lazy
180 halfway through the Red Plains.  I was heading back, my house was in
sight over the horizen, when I noticed something small lying on a rock.  It's
blue color made it stick out in the red sea of dirt.  Huh, wonder what a
Projection Com Device is doing in the middle of Red Plains.  I picked it up.
Didin't look like a PCD.  They make new models every week.  Being the kind
hearted kid I am, I picked it up with all intentions of bringing it to town
tommorow morning, and started up my bike again, but then, the blue thing
started to glow in my hand, and next thing I know, everything goes white.

**Amber**

"All right girls let's practice the long jump again."
I was up first.  The landing ramp a good 70 feet away.  I took a deep
breath, and raced forward.  The gravity bubble I was in made it seem like I
was on Earth again, but once I was in out of it's range, I'd be in natural
moon gravity. C`mon, faster.  I thought to myself.  I gave one last burst of
strength, then leaped as I reached the red line.  I was flying through the
air, pumping my legs as though I was still running.  As I got to the peak of
my jump, I looked through the rows and rows of empty seats.  I was used to
seeing the crowd's expressions of amazement.  This was just practice run.  I
started descending rapidly.  The ramp in front of me seemed to be 70 miles
away instead of 70 feet.  I stuck my feet out forward.  The ramp was only
feet away…
Wham!  I got one foot on the ramp, but the other went too low, and I
tripped forward.  Fortunatly, I was skilled at recoveries.  I tucked my head
in, and hurled myself forward into a clumsy flip, and landed on my feet
without actually falling.  I stood in place with my hands up for a few
seconds, then let out the breath I forgot I'd been holding, and slumped down.

"Very nice recovery Miss Kiroshi, but you need more speed on your take
off.
I sighed.  "Yes coach."  For the next 10 minuets, the rest of my teamates
in Low Grav Gymnastics did the long jump.  Some made it, others fell short.
When the last kid had jumped, coach told us to hit the showers.
My name is Amber.  I'm 13, and I'm on the Junior Boy's and Girl's Low
Grav Gymnastics Team.  It's just a little hobby I enjoy.  I'm an average
girl, friends, a nice house.  I get B's in school, and I live on the Moon.
Just another girl you see walking through the halls of school, or in clothing
stores at malls.  Well my apparently normal life was about to veer off in a
90 degree angle.
I had the shower on scalding hot.
"Hey Amber, don't forget that project we have to work on."  Hellen, a
friend of mine shouted from another shower.
"Yeah, I know."  I shouted back.  "Meet at my house at 7."  I grabbed a
towel, wrapped it around myself, headed to an empty area where my locker was.
The Gym got brand new thumbprint scan locks.  I pressed a thumb on the
scanner, and it popped open.  I almost dropped my towel when something fell
out.  Oh God, is that one of those mini video cameras perverts use to spy on
people in locker rooms?  I picked it up and examined the object.  Didn't look
like a video camera… and only I could get in my locker.  Then things got
really weird .  The thing started to glow, then I was washed in white light.

**Russle**

My name is Russle.  I'm 12, and I live in a world of silence.  Two years
ago, when that rock hit Earth, I was outside.  The blast was deafning,
literally.  It was hard learning to read lips, and sign language, but I've
gotten the hang of it.  I live with my sister Lorane she's 15 and also knows
sign language.  Our parents are both in the Global Army and Navy, but they'll
be back in another year, and Lorane is as good as any Mom.
We live in an underwater town somewhere in the Indian Ocean.  It's a cute
little town, except nothing really happens.  I wake up, eat, go to special
classes in school, go home, eat dinner, watch holovision, bed.  Well, there's
always reef diving, and other water sports, but that's about it.
Speaking of reef diving, that sounded like a good idea.  I pulled on a
heat suit (it's about 45 degrees F this deep underwater.)  And hoisted an air
tank on my back.  I turned on the Holo Message Saver, did some signals with
my hands that translated to: Went Reefing, back in time for dinner.  When she
came home, she'd see my message.
I entered the chamber, pushed a few buttons, then slipped on the breath
mask.  In seconds, the room was sealed shut, and flooded with water.  The
front door opened into the watery outside world.  You'd think that this deep,
everything would be dark and gloomy.  Wrong.  The mayor had put lamps
everywhere, lighting up a rainbow of colors on the coral.  A few other people
passed by, waved at me.  I waved back being the good natured kid I am.
Another person…  Woah!  Not just any person.  Nikki Ishumi.  I had a crush on
her, but can you blame me?  She's the hottest girl in town, and I'm fortunate
enough to be in the same class as her.  She noticed me floating by, and
waved.  I waved back, not noticing where I was going. Konk!  I hit my head on
a rock.  Nikki silently laughed, then swam away.  I rubbed my head gingerly.
So much for trying to impress her.
Well my life was in for a rude awakening.  As I floated there, trying to
get my cheeks back to their normal color, something slowly sank down to the
floor.  I tilted my head.  It was a light blue, and had a blank screen on it.
Wonder what this is?  A video game?   It had only a single button jutting
out from the upper-left side.  I touched it.  The device gave off an intense
amount of heat, even in the frigid water.  I flicked it.  It glowed for a
second, then turned back into it's shade of blue.  I hovered my hand over it.
It softly lit up again.  Then, chucking away my courage, I grabbed it in my
hand.  It shone with such brightness, I covered my eyes.  Then, the world
around me disappeared.
