Child of Loyalty

Chapter Two
I will Fight.

The next day the DigiDestained went back to the Digiworld with Lory. Davis
looked at her.
 "Are you up to it?" He asked. Lory nodded. But she was tired. She had been
awake all night coughing up blood. She lost about a pint. Matt measured it,
to be safe & sent it to Joe's dad to make sure she didn't get any
Digi-diseases from living with Digimon all her life. Her breathing was hoarse
& raspy. Her skin was clammy & pale. And her hair was matted down. But she
had the fire back in her eyes, & her defiant little smirk that the Digimon
Emperor was so determined to wipe off her face for good. They entered the
Digiworld. Lory looked around. Biyomon flew into Sora's arms. Tentomon hugged
Izzy who came this time.
 "Well, where's this Digimon emperor?" T.K asked. Sinister laughing was heard
again.
 "Welcome back Lory. I was beginning to wonder if you were starting to like
the Real World, better than the Digiworld…" Digimon Emperor said, smiling. He
was followed by a familiar figure. Garurumon! And Garurumon had a Dark Collar
around his ankle. Lory stepped back. Veemon, Hawkmon, & Armadillomon got
infront of her. Iori & Cody tightly held their Digieggs.
 "Garurumon…get Lory & bring her with you…" Digimon Emperor said & walked
off.
 "Oh no you won't!" Davis yelled.
 "DigiArmor Energize!" The three new Digi-Destained shouted.
 
 "Veemon Armor Digivolve to…Flamedramon, the Fires of Courage."
 "Hawkmon Armor Digivolve to…Halsemon, the Wings of Love."
 "Armadillomon Armor Digivolve to…Digmon, the strength of Knowledge." They
called out. The Armor Digimon stood ready to fight.
 "Howling Blaster!" Garurumon said.
 "Gold Rush!" Digmon called out. Garurumon ran to Lory, lifted her up & ran
off.
 "No, Lory!" Tai shouted. Halsemon started going after them.
 "Wait Halsemon. If we do follow Garurumon, then there's a chance Lory could
be hurt or killed." Tentomon said…

 Lory looked around to see where she was. It was a shadowy room, with screens
floating around everywhere, & a chair in the center. She felt dizzy, & weak.
 "So Lory, how do you like it?" Digimon emperor asked. Lory's head snapped
up, to see the Human boy infront of her, smiling.
 "Where's that smirk of yours? Where's the fire in your eyes? I didn't think
you'd go down quite so easily." He said. Lory proceeded to growl at him, but
began coughing again. Digimon Emperor continued to smile. He started lifting
Lory up by the shirt collar, but an alarm stopped him. He let her go & sat
back in the chair, looking at one of the screens.
 "It's those Digi-Destained…" He snarled. Lory laughed a little. That sent a
reaction to Digimon Emperor. A strange feeling in his gut, but he ignored it
& looked at her.
 "I told you. They would come…" She said. Digimon Emperor growled, but it
faded into a smile. A mockery of Lory's smirk.
 "I know just what to do. You're going to give your loyalty to me infront of
them." He said. Lory's eyes grew wide, when she saw what was in his hands…
 
 The Digi-Destained walked towards the temple where, a few years ago, the met
Centarumon & learned the legend of the Digivices. But much to their surprise,
Digimon Emperor was waiting for them. And Lory was with him!
 "Have I got a surprise for you!" He said laughing. Lory's eyes lost their
fire again. Tentomon sensed something was very wrong.
 "Is it just me Izzy, or does Lory look different?" He asked. Izzy looked at
her too, & noticed it.
 "Now Lory, child of Loyalty…" Digimon Emperor said smiling. "give your
loyalty to me." He said. Kari noticed something else. She had a faint glow to
her.
 "I…will…not…" She said to him. Digimon Emperor looked shocked. On her
chest, where a crest & tag would normally hang, an aqua light shone. The
Digi-Destained Digimon, denied of their Digivolutions, began to glow as well.
 "Why not?!" He shouted at her. Lory didn't even flinch.
 "Because I will fight."
