Tale of the Digimon Destroyers
Part 13
"MetalCancermon"
The digidestined
arrived at the Tower of Evil. They had already defeated
six destroyers, and on the seccond floor they faced SkullGreymon and
ShadowGarurumon. Their counterparts made quick work of them, but
Cancermon
used the power of the crests he stole to make them warp digivolve to
ClawGreymon and SkullGarurumon. Fortunately, WarGreymon and
MetalGarurumon
showed up just in time to take them out. Now it was just down to
Cancermon.
The digidestined
reached the last floor, where Cancermon was waiting for
them. He was standing on the center of the room.
Domon: Cancermon...
Cancermon: Domon...
The last destroyer
turned around to face his enemies. He didn't seem happy.
Cancermon: I never
imagined that you'd get this far. Looks like I... No, we
made the same mistake the Dark Masters and Apocalymon did: We
underestimated
you. And it all comes down to this, the final showdown.
Tai: If I were you I'd
give up. You're outnumbered and out gunned. What do
you think you can do?
Cancermon: You are
obviously right, if I fight, I will surely lose.
Mimi: So why fight?
Cancermon: I have my
reasons. I'd rather go down fighting than to give up
to the likes of you.
WarGreymon: Face it,
an ultimate digimon, no matter how strong he is, can't
defeat two megas alone.
Cancermon: Fools, who
ever said that it'd be an ultimate versus two megas?
Izzy: What?
The evil digimon
pulled out the eight crests.
Cancermon: These were
the ones used to make the destroyers into ultimate
digimon. Now I will use them one last time, to destroy you.
Sora: What?
Cancermon: Behold...
Cancermon also pulled
out a digivice. It was unlike any the digidestined
had ever seen, it was a little smaller an it had the shape of a square
with
rounded corners and edges. It was far more advanced than the ones the
digidestined had.
Izzy: That's a
digivice, how'd he get one?
Cancermon: Remember
I'm also a chosen digimon, but my digiegg hatched a lot
sooner than the other chosen digimon. I wandered, waiting for someone,
until
I meet the one that taught me how to use this thing. I used it to
digivolve
from the in trainning Pinomon into the rookie Cocomon. Eventually I
digivolved into Caramon and finally into my present form of Cancermon.
I
found myself a new reason to live. Soon after that I met the other
chosen
digimon, and I trained them and taught them to use their digivices as
well.
The digimon pulled out
another set of eight digivices, they were in a
crystal box.
Cancermon: I still
have one last trick up my sleeve.
The destroyer started
to laugh maniacly, as if he had gone mad, but it only
seemed. The nine digivices began to glow, so did the eight crests. The
crystal box eshatered and the digivices began to float around
Cancermon, the
crests circuled the digimon, as they began to glow.
Joe: What is he doing!
Domon: Genkimon! Can
you feel it!
Genkimon: It's
enourmous, I've never felt anything like this before!
TK: Bro! What is going
on!
A strong wind began to
be felt in the room. It came from Cancermon. He
started to glow a bright blinding white. The digidestined closed their
eyes
at the display of energy.
Kari: TK!!! TAI!!!
Tai: Izzy, what's
happening?!
Izzy: I don't know!
A laugh could be
heard, it was evil, a mad laugh. Suddenly, the laugh
became a scream of agony. It became so loud, the digidestined coverd
their
ears.
Domon: CANCERMON!!
Then, the screaming
stopped, and the shining had ended. The digidestined
oppened their eyes. They saw the digivices and crests, but no sign of
Cancermon. The digidestined took a deep breath and recoverd from that
scary
experience.
Tentomon: Where's
Cancermon?
Izzy: I belive he was...
deleted.
Mimi: What happened?
Izzy: I think that he
tried to harness the power of the crests, however, it
turned out o be too much for him.
Matt: You mean, we've
won?
Tai: That just about
says it all Matt. We did it!
Sora: We really did?
All right!
The digidestined and
digimon began to celebrate. They couldn't belive it
was actually over.
Genkimon: Domon?
What's wrong?
Domon: I'm kinda
dissapointed.
Genkimon: Why?
Cancermon has been destroyed.
Domon: Perhaps, but I
kinda wanted to fight him. Oh well...
Palmon: Am I the only
one who's seeing this?
Mimi: What is it
Palmon?
Palmon: If Cancermon's
gone, than why are those digivices and crests still
floating?
Joe: She's right!
Sora: What does it
mean?
Then, a a laugh was
heard, it was horrible, nothing like the digidestined
had heard before. All of the digidestined started to tremble.
Gatomon: Look!
The digidestined
turned around to face the place where the digivices and
crests were floating. Inside the circle they were forming, pieces of
digital
information began to materialize a figure. They began from feet to
head.
When the digital information had been gathered, a new digimon was
standing.
It looked somewhat like Cancermon, only it had it's skin peeled of from
his
fists, part of his chest, left cheek, and from the top of nose up, and
instead he had robotic implants ala terminator. His cibernetic eyes
suddenly
began to glow a bright red. The digivices floated to his belt, where
they
attached themselves. Then the crests began to spiral around him
???: Courage.
The crests of courage
touched the digimon's chest, then it seemed to be
absorbed, as if it had touched liquid.
???: Friendship.
The crest of
friendship was then absorbed.
???: Love.
Next the crest of
Love.
???: Knowledge.
The crest of
knowledge.
???: Sincerity.
The crest of
sincerity.
???: Reliability.
The crest of
reliability.
???: Hope.
The crest of hope.
???: Light.
Finally, the crest of
light was absorbed, then they reapeared, forming a
circle in the digimon's chest.
Tai: Who... or what...
???: Surprised? You
really shouldn't. It's not like we haven't seen each
other before.
Domon: Cancermon?!
???: MetalCancermon,
my dear friend.
Izzy: MetalCancermon?
Computer, show data.
MetalCancermon: Allow
me. MetalCancermon, a ciborg type, mega level, my
special attack is the Metallic Star Pinsir, just a more powerfull
version of
the original.
Tai: Ok, get ready
WarGreymon, looks like you're up.
Izzy: Wait, Tai look!
These energy readings are off the scale, not even
Apocalymon rated this high!
Matt: Meaning...
Izzy: This... thing is
way more powerfull than both WarGreymon and
MetalGarurumon.
WarGreymon: That doesn't
mean anything. Let's go MetalGarurumon!
Before the digimon
began their assault, Domon extended his hand to the side
and blocked their way.
Domon: Wait a seccond,
remember our deal?
Sora: Don't be
ridiculous, Domon. It was one thing to battle Cancermon,
but...
Domon: He's still the
same digimon.
Tai: No, Domon, you
can't.
Domon: You've said it
yourself, Taichi, if I get in trouble, these two can
cut in.
Genkimon: Hey! Don't
leave me out.
The warrior just
smiled. Then he walked towards MetalCancermon. He stopped
when they were just a couple of feet away. Both digimon grinned.
MetalCancermon: I knew
this day would come.
Domon: Yes, I waited
for this day also.
MetalCancermon: I ask,
why do you wish to fight me now that I'm a mega and
probably stronger than any digimon that's ever walked on the face of
this
world?
Domon: Ever since we
met when you were a little Cocomon, we've been butting
heads, testing wich of us was stronger. Well, now that we both have
reached
our maximum potencial, I guess it's time to see who's the best of the
best.
MetalCancermon: I was
expecting something like that. Are you ready?
Domon: Always...
Both digimon took
their respective battle stance. They watched each other
carefully. The digidestined looked very nervous.
Tai: Izz, does he
stand a chance out there?
Izzy: They're
practically nill.
Genkimon: Shut up! I
belive in Domon, I know he can beat that guy.
Sora: We all hope so,
Genkimon.
TK: I don't hope so. I
know so.
Kari: Me too.
Mimi: Do it Domon!
Matt: Give it your
all.
Tai: Show that mega
who's the mon.
Then, a moment of
silence followed. The tension in the air was evident.
Suddenly, Joe sneezed, as if right on que to begin the fight. Domon took
the
offensive, using a left hook then a right uppercut, then he used his
powerfull roundhouse kick and then a powerfull blow into
MetalCancermon's
chest, sending him flying right into the wall. When he got up, Domon
was
right in front of him and kicked his chin, making him go up, and Domon
followed him, preparing his special attack.
Shuto Blast!
This blast was very
different, it had a very unusual high power and
brightness. An enormous explosion followed, one so powerfull that it
maked
the entire tower shake. The digidestined were speacheless.
Tai: What the...!
Joe: How did he...!
Sora: Izzy, how did
Domon do that!
Izzy: It's prodigious,
his energy readings have matched those of
MetalCancermon. I belive that this is Domon's true power.
Genkimon: Wait until I
tell HolyMyotismon!
Matt: That explains
why he's so powerfull.
The warrior landed in
front of where MetalCancermon had crashed. He took a
fighting stance, as MetalCancermon came charging from the cloud of
dust.
They began to banter, however, MetalCancermon wasn't landing any hits,
since
Domon was dodging everyone of them. MetalCancermon was getting
desperate,
then a solid knee had landed on his steel abdomen. He was sophocated.
MetalCancermon:
*cough* How? *cough*
Domon: Come on, that
can't be everything you've got.
The destroyer got up,
and resumed the sparring. Domon was still dodgeing
the attacks, and MetalCancermon was getting mad. He tried to grab
Domon, but
the warrior grabed him first and crashed him into the wall next to
them.
Domon had an unespected power advantage over the mega digimon. The wall
exploded as the evil digimon yelled in anger.
MetalCancermon: Why!!!
Domon: Ready to give
up?
The destroyer was now
like a wild beastm, attacking endlessly, but Domon
wouldn't give him any opportunity. Suddenly, Domon began to block the
attacks, rather than dodging them. This seemed strange to Genkimon.
Genkimon: Odd, one
minute Domon was dodging every hit, but now he started
to block them.
Izzy: Oh no!
Joe: Tell me it isn't
bad news.
Izzy: I'm afraid they
are. It seems that Domon is getting tired. Look, his
energy reading is gradually lowering. According to my calculations, he
will
be overpowered in a couple of minutes.
They turned to see the
battle. Ideed, Domon was getting tired. He attacked
MetalCancermon with a back spin kick, wich gave him time to prepare
once
again his special attack.
Shuto Blast!
This blast was
extremely big and powerfull. MetalCancermon crossed his arms
in front of his face, blocking the attack. The explosion that followed
seemed to have caused some damage since it made him scream. Domon was
exhausted, he had waisted the last of his energy in that attack. When
the
cloud cleared, MetalCancermon was walking over to Domon.
MetalCancermon: You
fool, you wasted your energy too quickly. What were you
planning to do?
Domon: I had planned
to beat you with that power, but I didn't expect that
you had this power.
The destroyer laughed,
then he beggan to hit Domon endlessly like a
punching bag. Now the tide has turned, Domon had no energy left, he was
a
sitting duck. The digidestined watched horribly as Domon was being
punished.
Mimi: Please stop!!
Matt: Man, this is
bad. If we don't do something he's surely...
Sora: Don't say that!
Genkimon: Ah @#$%!
Palmon: Genkimon!
Genkimon: Sorry, but I
can't help it. Domon's in danger.
Domon was now
cornered, he had blood coming from out of his nose and had a
cut on his mouth. His left eye was now black, and he was holding his
right
arm with his left as if it were injured.
Domon: Damn...
MetalCancermon:
Jejeje, I guess it's evident wich one of us is the best. I
belive the winner is me.
MetalCancermon, claws
were getting charged with energy, they started to
glow, then he swang his claw at Domon.
Metallic Star Pinsir!!
The attack was about
to hit Domon. Suddenly, a figure had jumped in the way
of the lethal beam of energy, thus saving Domon. The hero was Genkimon,
who
had fallen injured right next to Domon. Domon fell to his knees and
took his
friend in his arms.
Domon: Genkimon, you
stupid fool, why'd you do that? I strictly ordered you
to...
Genkimon: I... know,
but I couldn't let you die. You're all I have in the
world, I can't simply stand and watch you die.
Domon: Genkimon...
The digimon
dedigivolved back into Kamemon.
Kamemon: I'm sorry
Domon, I guess I wasn't good enough. Just wan't to
say... I love you Domon.
Domon: Don't say that
Kamemon, you'll be fine...
An amazing thing
happened, Domon began to cry, Kamemon just smiled.
Kamemon: You're
breaking... a law of the Shuto... never... shed a tear...
Domon: Don't leave me
Kamemon!!
The little digimon
went unconcious.
Domon: Kamemon! Kamemon!!
KAMEMON!!!
Izzy: Ran to where
Domon was, followed by the digidestined and the mega
digimon.
WarGreymon: Enough
play, it's out turn.
MetalGarurumon: Get
ready, MetalCancermon!
MetalCancermon: Oh
well, come one, give me your best shot.
Joe looked at Kamemon
and sighed of relief.
Joe: He's just
unconcious, don't worry about it Domon.
Izzy: You did a good
job, Domon.
Tai: Domon? what's up?
The warrior got up,
and turned to look at the battle betwen WarGreymon,
MetalGarurumon and MetalCancermon.
Domon: You have made
your final mistake, Digimon Destroyer.
The digidestined
watched as he walked towards the fighting. He was dragging
his left leg, since it got injured, he was still crying, although his
eyes
showed anger instead of sorrow.
Domon: First you dared
to invade my village, then you tried to kill my
master, then you stole the crests, then you tried to use me to destroy
my
friends, and now you hurt my pupil. You've gonne too far, Digimon
Destroyer,
it's time someone draws the line!!
The crest of Union on
Domon's chest began to glow, he kept walking.
Izzy: His crest is
glowing!
Gomamon: Kamemon, get
up, you have to digivolve.
The little warrior
oppened one eye.
Kamemon: I don't feel
anything...
Tai: What?
Kamemon: I can't...
digivolve, I don't feel any... energy... inside of...
me...
Matt: Then who... no
way!
The digidestined
looked at Domon, he had a white aura surrounding him now.
Izzy checked his computer. Domon's energy level was rising. The mega
digimon
stopped fighting, and looked at the injured warrior.
Domon: METALCANCERMON,
YOU'RE MINE!!!!
The warrior's digivice
began to glow, and then, the event that everyone
thought it wasn't possible happened.
Izzy: He's gonna warp
digivolve!
Tai: No way!
Joe: Can't be!
A bright light
surrounded Domon, what will happen now? Will the new form of
Domon be able to actually defeat MetalCancermon and end the Digimon
Destroyer threat of the digital world for good?
