Tale of the Digimon Destroyers
Part 10
"Second thoughts"
The digidestined reached the Shuto clan village, only to find that Ivymon
had taken over the village. With the aid of Bumblebemon she gained control
of Domon, wich she ordered to destroy the digidestined. Sadly, Genkimon had
to fight his own master. The digimon came through and in the end, Ivymon was
cut down to size.
Outside the Tower of Evil, Leviatmon and VenomKabuterimon were headed for
the lake at the foot of infinity mountain. They were both quiet, then
Leviatmon breaked the silence.
Leviatmon: Hey VenomKabuterimon!
VenomKabuterimon: Yeah? What is it?
Leviatmon: I was wondering, do we actually need to fight these digimon?
VenomKabuterimon: Of course, Cancermon'll kill us if we don't do it.
Leviatmon: I know, but I mean, they're our predecesors, and I've been
thinking...
VenomKabuterimon: Look, Leviatmon, I'll make it very clear to you. They are
inferior, obsolete. We are the future, they're past, they're not supposed to
exist, got it?
Leviatmon: I guess...
VenomKabuterimon: You're not actually showing mercy, are you?
Leviatmon: Of course not! I'm a Digimon Destroyer!
VenomKabuterimon: Yeah, sure.
Both continued their way, but Leviatmon was still pondering.
Meanwhile, the digidestined were resting at the remains of HolyMyotismon's
house, accompanied by their digimon, except for Tai.
Matt: That was intense, huh?
Mimi: Intense? It was horrible!
Tai: Yeah Matt, a lot of digimon got hurt, including Domon.
Izzy: I'm rather impressed at Domon's power, it keeps growing everytime he
fights. I can only imagine what kind of power Domon would have when he
digivolves, if he ever does.
Patamon: You mean Domon can digivolve?
Gabumon: Probably, he is half digimon.
Joe: I don't think Domon can digivolve. I mean, he's never digivolved
before, and probably is due to his human side.
TK: I hope he becomes an angel, like Angemon.
Sora: I think we have enough angels, TK.
Kari: What was Domon's father's name?
Izzy: Rogamon, he's an ultimate level digimon, former member of the shuto
elite I might add.
Tai: Like father, like son.
Suddenly, HolyMyotismon walked over carrying a now concious and healed
Koromon.
HolyMyotismon: Here he is, good as new.
Koromon: Hey guys!
Tai: Koromon! I'm glad you're ok!
Tai hugged his digimon, and Koromon hugged Tai's neck with his ears.
Sora: How's Domon?
HolyMyotismon: See for yourselves.
HolyMyotismon pointed at the direction of the medical hut, where Domon was
walking out along with Kamemon. The digidestined ran towards them and
circuled them.
Tai: Hey Domon, how're you doing?
The warrior didn't answer.
Mimi: Domon, are you ok?
Kamemon: He's fine, he's just upset for attacking us, that's all.
Sora: It wasn't your fault Domon, Ivymon was controlling you.
Digimon: Yeah! That's right!
Domon: Someone could have gotten killed, and I can't bear the thought of
hurting the ones I am to protect.
HolyMyotismon: Then your mission is simple. Eliminate the Digimon
Destroyers once and for all so that something like that never happens again.
Domon: I will. Cancermon will pay.
Matt: WE will, two destroyers down, seven to go.
Some time later, the digidestined left the shuto village. Domon was all the
way back with Kamemon.
Domon: Kamemon...
Kamemon: Yes, master?
Domon: I'm proud of you.
Kamemon: Huh? Are you feeling allright?
Domon: Yes, this last battle made me see that you have overpassed your
master in hand to hand combat, the test I wanted to apply to you at the
Shuto village. I am no longer your master, I am now simply Domon, your
comrad in the shuto clan.
Kamemon: Gee, thanks Domon.
Domon: Don't let it go to your head, I can still wipe the floor with your
face.
Kamemon: I know.
Joe: Oh oh.
Tai: No kidding.
Domon: What's going on?
The digidestined watched that they reached an inmense lake. It was huge,
one couldn't see the other side.
Matt: We have to cross it?
Mimi: No way I'm swimming this thing.
Tai: Calm down everyone. Izz?
Izzy: Well...
The young man pulled out his pocket computer and called up a map.
Izzy: The Digimon Destroyer's lair is on the top of infinity mountain, and
that's on the other side of this lake.
Sora: We're obviously not swimming.
Tai: Can we just walk around it?
Izzy: Yes, we can.
Domon: How far is it?
Izzy: Let's see... A day's walk.
Gatomon: Well, I'm too tired to walk that much.
Kari: Me too.
Mimi: These shoes are killing me.
Domon: Well, it will be night in a couple of hours, and we aren't
completely healed after the battle with Ivymon, so I suggest that we stay
here and wait until tomorrow. What do you say Taichi?
Tai: Well, I guess so.
The digidestined set camp at the foot of the lake. It was dusk and everyone
enjoyed the wonderfull view. Domon and Kamemon, who had digivolved into
Kaioumon, were sparring, being watched by Matt. Kari, TK and Joe were at the
lake's edge with the digimon. Mimi was having girl talk with Sora. And Tai
was playing, or at least trying to learn, chess with Izzy on his computer,
he was obviously loosing.
Izzy: Bishop to A3, check mate.
Tai: Huh? Hey, that's not fair!
Izzy: It's a perfectly legal move.
Tai: Yo Joe, come here and beat Izzy!
Joe: In a minute, Gomamon's got something on his furr!
Koromon: Is it a tick?
Kari: I don't think so.
TK: It looks like... bubblegum?
Joe: Gomamon! That was my last piece!
Gomamon: Sorry Joe, if it makes you feel any better it tasted good.
Joe: Why do I bother?
Joe walked over to were Izzy was. Tai walked over by Matt, who was still
watching the two warriors fight.
Tai: Who's winning?
Matt: Domon, obviously.
Kaioumon was about to hit Domon with a spinning kick at the face,
surprisingly the hybrid caught it in his hand before it hit him.
Kaioumon: Hey! Let go!
Domon: As you wish.
Domon grinned, then he started to spin Kaioumon.
Kaioumon: AHHH! DON'T LET GO! DON'T LET GO!!
Domon let go of Kaioumon's foot, throwing him to the lake.
Matt: See, I told you.
Tai: I sure wouldn't like to be in Domon's black list.
Suddenly, Kaioumon flew back to shore.
Domon: Ready for round two?
Kaioumon: Wait, there's something in the water.
Tai: What? Where?
Kaioumon: Close to where the digimon are playing.
Matt: What? TK!!!
Tai: Kari! Everyone! Get out of the water!!
Palmon: Huh? Why?
Kari: Were having fun Tai, don't tell us what to do.
Matt: Takeru!!
TK: I think it's serious Kari.
Suddenly, the water started to move. Waves started to generate as a huge
digimon came out of the water. It was Leviatmon. TK had grabbed Kari and
carried her to shore, as the digimon ran out of the water.
Koromon digivolve to... Agumon!
Pepper breath!
The little fireball bounced harmlessly of Leviatmon's skin.
Mimi: What is that thing?
Izzy: Let's see.
The genious looked over his digimon database and found Leviatmon's profile.
Izzy: Show data.
Computer: Leviatmon, a sea creature type digimon, ultimate level, Digimon
Destroyer of the seas.
Digidestined: Digimon Destroyer!
Kaioumon: I knew he looked fishy.
Tai: Everyone, get ready to rumble!
Leviatmon: Wait! I don't wish to fight you!
Sora: Oh yeah? How do we trust you?
Levuatmon threw his trident into a rock formation behind the digidestined.
Izzy: It's ok, most of his attacks are with that spear. He's harmless now.
Matt: Don't try anything funny.
Kaioumon dedigivolved back into Kamemon, and they sta down on some rocks in
front of Leviatmon.
Leviatmon: I understand why you don't trust me.
Joe: No offense, but anything that has a destroyer reputation is not of our
trust.
Izzy: So, why don't you wish to fight us?
Gomamon: Yeah, I thought that all the destroyers were ruthless tirants who
wanted to destroy everything.
Leviatmon: It's true that my brothers want to take over this digital world,
but I only want to take it easy and wait for someone.
Agumon: Wait?
Gabumon: You mean like we waited for our digidestined companion?
Leviatmon: Something like that, yeah.
Mimi: Then why are you a Digimon Destroyer?
Leviatmon: This might sound corny, but I love my brothers, and I could
never leave them, for anything.
Matt: Makes sense.
Sora: Why is Cancermon your leader?
Leviatmon: His digiegg hatched before anyone of us, so he knows more of the
digital world than us, and he's also extremely powerfull.
Tai: I still don't get it, why are you here? Are you going to help us?
Leviatmon: Yes, I'll get you across the lake, it's safer than walking
around it, my brother VenomKabuterimon placed some traps.
Izzy: You still haven't answered why.
Leviatmon: Unlike my brothers, I respect you. I mean, you and your digimon
fought evil in the digital world before us. I belive we can learn a lot from
you instead of destroying you.
Domon: The crests, do you have one?
Leviatmon: Oh, those things. Cancermon has them, along with something that
resembles your digivice.
TK: Could Cancermon be a hybrid like Domon?
Izzy: No, he isn't. I belive that there may be someone behind all of this,
controlling Cancermon.
Leviatmon: Yes, now that I recall, Cancermon often speaks to an entity in
his room.
Tentomon: So, the plot thickens.
Domon: Let's rest, tomorrow we go to infinity mountain, and get some
answers.
Kamemon: Will you take us there Leviatmon?
Leviatmon: Sure, I'l come by in the morning to pick you up.
And so the Digimon Destroyer left again to the lake, snaping his fingers,
wich seemed to call his trident.
Matt: Did you see that?
Sora: He has complete control over that thing.
Domon: More proof that we can trust him.
TK: How come?
Izzy: If he wanted to kill us, he could have done that easily with that
weapon behind us, but he didn't.
Tai: I'd say we can trust him.
And so the digidestined gathered around a fire that Tai and Domon had made.
The digidestined fell asleep, pondering. Is Leviatmon really on their side?
Maybe in the morning will they find out.
Meanwhile, VenomKabuterimon was eating some fruits when Leviatmon arrived.
VenomKabuterimon: Where were you? we were supposed to have offed the
digidestined today.
Leviatmon: It's none of your business.
VenomKabuterimon: What's gotten into you? You're acting kinda strange.
Leviatmon: VenomKabuterimon, is there a way to avoid fighting the
digidestined?
VenomKabuterimon: Here we go again, I've told you that the new must destroy
the old, so us, the new chosen digimon, have to destroy them, the former
digidestined.
Leviatmon: But we can learn so much from them.
VenomKabuterimon: Look, you big green baby, we're going to destroy them,
whether you like it or not, if not by our own will, then by orders of
Cancermon.
Leviatmon: But...
VenomKabuterimon: I've said enough, and so have you. Let's return to the
Tower. Tomorrow we delete them.
Leviatmon just stud there, quiet, then he followed his destroyer companion.
What will Leviatmon's decision take him? And how will it affect the
digidestined's quest?

Hello everybody. Part 10, I can't belive it. I thought that this fanfic
would be of only six or nine chapters, and there's more to come on part 11.
The digidestined arrive at the foot of infinity mountain, and so the final
battle begins. Leviatmon betrayes the destroyers and takes on
VenomKabuterimon, and the digidestined battle LuciferAngemon and Harpyamon,
the corrupted digivolved form of Gatomon. I've said it before, and I'll say
