Tale of the Digimon Destroyers
Part 8
"The crest of Union"
The digidestined spent
the night at a desert cave. In the morning there
were a couple of discusions betwen Matt and the other digidestined, but
all
of this was interrupted by the appearence of the fully evolved Digimon
Destroyers Pteromon, digivolved from the evil Birdramon, Ivymon,
digivolved
from the evil Togemon, and Cancermon. Garudamon and Lillymon faced
their
evil forms while Kamemon digivolved and faced Cancermon. Cancermon was
too
strong, and now Domon was his new opponent.
Cancermon: Your pupil
needs more training, old friend.
Domon: He does, and I
told you never to call me friend.
Cancermon: What
happened to those days you and I played together?
Domon: I used to play
with Karamon, who died when he became Cancermon.
Cancermon: Very well,
Domon, I shall show you how dead your old friend is.
Star Pinsir!!
Domon: You'll be
surprised how dead you'll be. Shuto Blast!!
Both attacks collided,
generating a huge explosion, followed by the hybrid
and digimon charging at each other. Domon defended well against
Cancermon's
sharp claws, and Cancermon could avoid Domon's deadly fists easily. It
was a
very even fight.
Tai: Now that's a
battle.
Izzy: Domon's power
seems to be incresing at regular intervals.
Mimi: Say again?
Izzy: Aproximately
every fifteen to twenty secconds his power level
increeses a bit.
Matt: So does
Cancermon, right?
Izzy: Correct.
Kamemon: You got it
wrong, Koushiro.
Izzy: You have a
better theory, Kamemon.
Kamemon: It's Domon's
style to increse the force of his blows every hundred
blows.
TK: Wait a seccond, in
fifteen secconds he delivers a hundred blows? That's
amazing.
Kamemon: That's Domon.
Gomamon: Watch out!!
Garudamon was flying
directly towards the group, she seemed knocked out.
Gomamon digivolve
to... Ikkakumon!!
Gabumon digivolve
to... Garurumon!!
Matt: Quick, everyone,
get on!
The digidestined
mounted the beasts and ran as fast as they could.
Garudamon has taken serious damage, but still managed to get up.
Sora: Garudamon!
Garudamon: I'm alright
Sora, just let my guard down.
Wing Blade!!
Garudamon's attack
headed right into Pteromon, who attacked with her own
special attack.
Stone Jetstream!!
Pteromon was
surrounded by an array of chromedigizoid pieces and flew right
into Garudamon's blast. It went through it easily and hit Garudamon in
the
chest, sending her flying towards a rock formation, completely
shatering it.
Meanwhile, Ivymon had Lillymon by the neck. Her thorn whips were around
Lillymon's neck and was squeezing her. Lillymon was also in trouble.
Joe: I don't think
Garudamon's winning.
Tai: No! Really?
Matt: This isn't a
game Tai, we have to do something.
Sora: Right, and we
gotta hurry!
Tai: Ok, Agumon, and
Tentomon, digivolve to ultimates and go help
Garudamon.
Izzy: Why them?
Tai: They can fly too,
so Pteromon is not out of their range.
Ikkakumon: And us?
Garurumon: We go help
Lillymon, right?
Tai: Right.
Tk: What about Patamon
and Gatomon?
Suddenly, a crash
sound was heard, and the group turned around to see that
Cancermon had grabed Domon's fist, then Cancermon threw a punch at
Domon,
who caught it the same way Cancermon did, then they both started to
push
against each other.
Kamemon: Hang in there
Domon!!
Kari: You two go help
Domon.
Gatomon & Patamon:
Right.
Tai: Ok everyone, it's
digivolving time!!
Agumon digivolve to...
Greymon!
Greymon digivolve
to... MetalGreymon!!
Garurumon digivolve
to... WereGarurumon!!
Tentomon digivolve
to... Kabuterimon!
Kabuterimon digivolve
to... MegaKabuterimon!!
Ikkakumon digivolve
to... Zudomon!!
Gatomon digivolve
to... Angewomon!!
TK: Try to digivolve
to ultimate Patamon, I know you can do it.
Patamon digivolve
to... Angemon!
Angemon digivolve
to... MagnaAngemon!!
TK: Yes! He did it!
Sora: Go get 'em guys!
Garudamon was grabbed
by the wings by Pteromon and was being lifted, when
Pteromon was about to finish Garudamon off...
Giga Blaster!!
Horn Buster!!
Both blasts hit
Pteromon in the back and sent her flying. Garudamon was
exhausted, so she dedigivolved into Biyomon. Sora ran to her and
grabbed
her.
Sora: Biyomon, are you
ok?
Biyomon: I'm good
mommy, when are we gonna have a cup of cocoa?
Sora ran to the
others. Then Pteromon recovered from the attack. She was
mad.
Pteromon: Hey! Where
did Garudamon go?
MetalGreymon: She took
a break.
MegaKabuterimon: Hope
you don't mind.
Pteromon: Not at all,
I was getting bored anyway.
Meanwhile, Lillymon
was starting to give up, then all of a sudden.
Wolf Claw!
Vulcan's Hammer!!
Ivymon saw the attacks
and had to free Lillymon so she could evade them.
She turned to see that Lillymon had dedigivolved back to Palmon, and
Mimi
had grabbed her and ran off. She also noted Zudomon and WereGarurumon
standing in front of her. Even though they were WAY bigger than her,
she
didn't seem scared.
Ivymon: You're my new
playmates? This should be interesting.
Zudomon: You'll see
how interesting.
WereGarurumon: We'll
go easy on ya. NOT!!
Domon was still
struggling with Cancermon. Cancermon kicked Domon in the
stomach and sent him towarss the sky. Where he tried to finish Domon
off.
Star Pinsir!!
Suddenly...
Gate of Destiny!!
MagnaAngemon made it
just in time to deviate Cancermon's attack and save
Domon. Domon recovered from the blow.
Domon: Thanks,
MagnaAngemon.
MagnaAngemon: Don't
mention it.
Cancermon: So, Domon,
you need help to defeat me?
Domon: We're the
digidestined, Cancermon, we have to fight together.
Angewomon: That's were
our strenght resides.
Cancermon: Very well,
I'll show you three my real power.
Kamemon digivolve
to... Kaioumon!!
Kaioumon: Correction,
four.
Cancermon: Hmm, show
me what you've got.
The digidestined
watched how their stronget digimon and Domon, stand before
Cancermon.
Matt: Think they can
win?
TK: Sure, MagnaAngemon
beat Piedmon, didn't he?
Kari: Yeah, I don't
think Cancermon's that tough.
Izzy: I wouldn't be so
sure Kari.
Tai: Why's that Izz?
Izzy: Cancermon may be
an ultimate level digimon, but he's got way more
experience than even Piedmon.
Sora: That can't be
true. An ultimate can't be stronger than a mega.
Joe: I think MagnaAngemon
is an ultimate, and he beat Piedmon, who's a
mega, so I guess it is possible
While the digidestined
watched the amazing battle betwen Cancermon and the
others, WereGarurumon and Zudomon were having a very dificult time with
Ivymon.
Wolf Claw!!
Ivymon avoided the
attack easily, flying in the air and preparing for her
attack.
Spike Gun!!
The machine gun attack
was making WereGarurumon see stars. He couldn't
move. Zudomon threw his hammer at Ivymon and hit her right in the face.
Ivymon: Ouch! Watch
were you throw that thing!!
WereGarurumon: Watch
this!!
WereGarurumon jumped
at Ivymon and did a flip kick to send her crashing to
the ground.
Zudomon: I think you
got her.
Thorn Whip!!
Two vines came from
the sand cloud and grabbed WereGarurumon and Zudomon
from the neck.
Ivymon: You should
have known better to have hit a lady.
Meanwhile, the battle
with Pteromon was just as bad. Neither did
MetalGreymon nor MegaKabuterimon could lend a good hit on Pteromon.
MegaKabuterimon: She's
too fast.
MetalGreymon: If only
we could hold her down.
Pteromon: Pay
attention! Stone Jetstream!
Pteromon charged at
both digimon, engulfed in a chromedigizoid shield. The
impact sent both digimon under the sand.
Pteromon: Come on out
of there!! I know that wasn't enough to defeat you...
yet.
Suddenly,
MegaKabuterimon flew out of the sand and grabed Pteromon from
behind.
Pteromon: What do you
think you're doing?
MegaKabuterimon: Now
MetalGreymon!!
MetalGreymon came out
of the sand and started to shine. Then he released
his energy in his attack.
Giga Blaster!!
Pteromon tried to get
free from MegaKabuterimon, but she couldn't. Both
missiles exploded right in Pteromon's chest. When the explosion
cleared, a
digiegg was falling to the ground, and MetalGreymon and MegaKabuterimon
descended victorious.
Tai: All right!!
Izzy: Way to go
MegaKabuterimon!!
Cancermon was
defending from MagnaAngemon and Kaioumon when he noticed that
Pteromon had been defeated. He quickly delivered a powerfull blow to
MagnaAngemon and back flipped out of Kaioumon's attack.
Domon: Ready to give
up?
Cancermon: Ivymon!
Ivymon was still
choking WereGarurumon and Zudomon when she heard
Cancermon's call.
Ivymon: Yes sir?
Cancermon: Retreat,
now!!
Ivymon: What!? But...
Cancermon: I said
retreat!!
Ivymon: Yes sir...
The digimon let go of
her prisioners and flew away.
Cancermon: I must say
I am impressed by your power. You may have won the
battle, but we will win the war.
Cancermon flew away
too, and just before Kaioumon was about to go after
him.
Domon: Let him,
Kaioumon.
Kaioumon: But we have
them on the run.
MagnaAngemon: They now
realize that we're a threat to them.
Domon: Yes, but I find
no honor in attacking an enemy from behind. Beside,
there'll be more battles.
Every digimon
dedigiolved back into rookies. The digidestined congratulated
their digimon.
Joe: Well done
everybody.
Tai: Yeah, you kicked
some booty out there.
Agumon: We sure did.
Gabumon: Speak for
yourself.
Domon: Nevertheless,
you did a good job.
Kari: You know what
they say, you can't win them all.
In that moment, Izzy
was arriving at the gropu with the digiegg that
Pteromon turned into.
Mimi: What's that
digiegg?
Izzy: It's Pteromon's
egg.
Tentomon: Yes, she
turned into that when she was beaten.
Matt: What does it
mean, Izzy?
Suddenly, Izzy's
pocket PC started beeping. When Izzy took it out, the
image of Tallen was on the screen.
Tallen: So, you
managed to live through a night at the desert. how'd it go?
Matt: We faced three
destroyers. Cancermon and the digivolved versions of
two others.
Izzy: Wich means that
the destroyers are now ultimate level digimon.
Tallen: Then all is lost.
Domon: Not quite, we
managed to defeat one.
Tai: But instead of
disapearing, it turned into a digiegg.
Izzy: You know
something about that?
Tallen: Well, you
defeated the corrupted digivolved version of that
digimon, when that happens, it returns to the previous stage where it
was
corrupted. In this case, a digiegg. Now that digiegg will hatch and
turn
into the chosen digimon it should have turned into.
TK: Will that happen
to the other Digimon Destroyers?
Tallen: Yes, probably.
Domon: We were
planning to go to the temple of Union today. May I speak
with my master?
Tallen: Certainly...
The image faded, then
apeared HolyMyotismon.
HolyMyotismon: Hello
Domon, how are things going?
Domon: Very good,
master.
HolyMyotismon: And
Kamemon?
Domon: He's making
progress.
Kamemon: Here I am
sir!
HolyMyotismon: You be
good Kamemon, listen to everything Domon says.
Kamemon: I will.
Domon: Master, we will
be arriving at the temple today. I had only waited
outside, never inside. Is there something I should be carefull of?
HolyMyotismon:
Actually, there is. A digimon called Shotomon guards the
crest. Your digimon had to defeat it before you get it.
Kamemon: You mean I
have to defeat this guy?
Domon: How strong is
this guy?
HolyMyotismon: Nothing
Kaioumon can't handle. But be prepared to go in for
him, ok Domon?
Domon: Yes master.
HolyMyotismon: I gotta
go now, Shogumon is watching the Enermon and I don't
think he can handle them.
The image of
HolyMyotismon faded.
Tai: Well Izzy, what way?
Izzy: It's that way.
The digidestined
resumed their journey. Kari was carrying the digiegg
Pteromon turned into. Dusk was aproaching when they reached the temple.
Domon's tag started to glow when they got to the entrance.
Domon: Me and Kamemon
will take it from here. You guys wait outside.
Mimi: Be carefull.
Tai: Good luck.
Patamon: Take care
Kamemon.
Kamemon: You know I
will.
The two warriors went
into the temple. They walked down a spiral stairway
until they reached the bottom. A large carving of a triangle was at the
wall
oposite to their location. The crest looked like three triangles, one
smaller than the other, each one was inside another. Domon's tag
started to
glow.
Kamemon: Hey, that
looks like the insignia of the Shuto Clan elite, like
the medallion you have.
Domon: We the Shuto
Clan have guarded this crest since the beggining. Let's
take it and leave.
???: Not so fast!
A large, musculous
digimon came from above. It had red skin and dressed
like a Shuto Clan member. His eyes were yellow and had a mohawk harido.
Domon: You must be
Shotomon.
Shutomon: Indeed, I am
the guardian of the crest of Union. You must prove
yourself worthy of it. Who will be my rival?
Kamemon stepped
forward.
Shutomon: You must be
joking, a rookie doesn't stand a chance.
Domon: Do it Kamemon.
Kamemon digivolve
to... Kaioumon!!
Kaioumon: Let's
rumble!
Shotomon: Very well,
attack with all your might.
Energy Bomber!!
Kaioumon attacked the
guardian with it's attack. The dodged the attack and
charged Kaioumon. Kaioumon had taken a heavy hit, and was sent crashing
to
the wall. He recovered and charged Shotomon, who grabbed his opponent
by the
shoulders and crashed his head into the ground. Just when Shotomon was
about
to attack again, Domon intervened punching Shotomon in the chest.
Shotomon: Hmm, a
digidestined with digimon abilities. This shall be
interesting.
Domon tried to deliver
a flying kick to Shotomon, but the guardian caught
Domon's leg and crashed him into the wall.
Shotomon: You wear a
medallion of the Shuto Clan elite, you should have no
problem in defeating me.
The guardian grabed
Domon by the waist and lifted him above his head,
getting ready to throw him. But Domon kicked the back of Shutomon's
head and
got free, flipping into a fighting stance in front of the guardian. He
prepared to do his special attack.
Shuto Blast!!
The energy ball almost
hit the guardian, but he managed to put both hands
in front of him and deflect the ball of energy bacl to Domon. The
explosion
made Domon fall to his knees, exhausted. Just as Shotomon was about to
hit a
tired Domon, Kaioumon lifted his head from the sand and looked at
Domon. He
realized he had to do something. And just as Shotomon was about to lend
the
finishing blow.
Kaioumon: LEAVE HIM
ALONE!!
Domon's digivive
started to shine, and Kaioumon felt an amazing energy
surge.
Kaioumon digivolve
to... Genkimon!!
Genkimon had a more adult
appearence. He had a black jacket and blue pants
on and pitch black shades covered his eyes. His hair grew to his chest
and
his body had grown bigger.
Domon: What?
Genkimon: Your fight
is with me.
Shotomon stud up and
faced his new opponent. Genkimon wasted no time and
delivered a destructive blow at Shotomon's stomach. He was sophocated,
and
Genkimon took the oportunity to do his special attack. He placed both
arms
towards Shotmon, fists closed, and a beam of yellow energy fired from
his
fists.
Cataclismic Beam!!
Shotomon recieved the
blast. When the blast cleared, Shutomon was still
standing. Domon had gotten up, speachles.
Shotomon: You have
proven that your union is true. You may take the crest.
Genkimon dedigivolved
into an Enermon, a little blue ball like digimon in
training level with two horns sticking out of his head.
Enermon: We did it!
Domon: No, you did it.
I'm proud of you, Enermon.
The digidestined
walked towards the wall and extended his tag. The big
carving started to glow and shrunk, until it was big enough to fit
inside
the tag. Domon had aquired the crest of Union. Both Shuto clan members
walked outside of the temple, where the other digidestined and digimon
were
waiting.
Tai: All right, you
did it.
Domon: Of course I
did. If it hadn't been for Genkimon I couldn't have
gotten the crest.
Joe: Genkimon?
Enermon: Yeah, I
digivolved all they way into Genkimon and defeated the
guardian.
Mimi: But I thought
that a digimon couldn't digivolve into ultimate without
the crest.
Matt: She's right.
Domon: I don't know
what you're talking about.
The group started to
wonder about Kaioumon's evolution. How did he
digivolve without the crest? No one know's the answer, only in time will
the
answer be known.

Almost over everyone. It was a challenge to write this part because I
only
had a vague idea of what I wanted to do, but I managed to pull it off.
Hope
you liked it. On part 9 the digidestined return to the Shuto clan
village,
only to see that it's being attacked by Ivymon. Remeber to mail me any
