I messed around with the quiz thingee, napped, played a little Horizons, had pizza for dinner, chatted with Kal, searched for a new handbag and some cds and generally just stayed in 'bum' mode all day long today.
I should have cleaned off my desk, which I've been meaning to do for a while now. I just didn't get into the mood to actually do it today. I suppose I will go read a bit until I am sleepy. I think Kal fell asleep from me boring him to death again, he got all quiet. tsk tsk.

For whatever reason, I've woken up at 4 a.m. for the past two or three mornings. Cricket gave me a dirty look this morning when I sat up in bed; she was sleeping on my pillow again. I guess I disturbed her beauty rest again. The dog wanted out, so I got up out of bed and let him go outside. It's chilly out there this morning. I had to put on my flannel pj pants last night because it was too cold in here to wear my pj shorts.
I love orange juice, well I love most juices but orange is my most favorite. Probably a close second would be cranberry juice with the grape added to it. Apple juice or cider is another favorite of mine. I'm having a glass of the orange stuff now; it's perfectly tart and not too sweet.
I miss the apple cider that my great-grandfather and I would make when I was little. We'd be right under the trees, tossing apples into the press and filling up the jugs with the juice to be stored in the outside building where grandma kept her home canned items and the cider. I'd be so paranoid about the yellow jackets that were buzzing all around me, but never got stung when making cider. I'd get stung any other time though.
I never had bad reactions to bee stings until I was eighteen or so, then I got really sick from the sting that I received on my neck of all places. I haven't been stung since then, but fear what would happen if I did get in the way of an angry bee again. *knocks on wood*
An odd thing happened yesterday while at work. The scar that resulted from a nasty cat bite when I was fourteen began to hurt and itch terribly. I hadn't had anything else bite me there recently and was puzzled as to why it was suddenly bothering me. It's feeling quite painful at the moment and I'm paranoid and wondering if one of those pesky spiders that have recenlty invaded my house has bitten me. The area is pretty swollen.
My grandmother's cat bit me when I was watching her house and had to get the cat out from under a piece of furniture because it was in a place it shouldn't have been. I reached under the furniture to fetch the cat and it bit right into the soft skin of my palm, just below my thumb on my right hand. All four of her sharp teeth pierced the skin and that nasty wound swelled up until it seemed that a golf ball was hidden under the skin of my hand. My aunt freaked out when she saw the bite marks along with the swelling and took me to the hospital to get a shot and some medicine for the wound. It was really painful. Now the biggest scar from the bite is really bugging me and the area is swollen again, though not to such extremes as it was eighteen years ago.
My job means that I have to handle a ton of paper each day, which also means that I get stupid paper cuts. I'd wear gloves, but they just get in the way. Now I have all these paper cuts on my hands and fingers. I'd use bandaids, but would need like 15 or so of the things to do the job. I have been keeping the cuts clean and use Neosporin on them to speed up the healing process and get rid of a bit of the pain.
It's late (or early?) and I'm babbling.
I might try to sleep some more after finishing my orange juice. I would probably fall asleep in this chair if I tried reading or logging into horizons. I tried playing horizons last night, but it was lonely there because nobody I knew was around.
I might decide to finally finish Baldur's Gate and the other games I've never completed over the past few years instead of trying to play horizons.
