Well, making up the time from yesterday was a bit painful when 5 pm approached and I had to stay an hour longer, but I survived. I had a mountain of mail and faxes to sort through today and even though the work took a long time to finish, I still had to find something to keep myself busy until it was time to leave. My manager came over to talk to me about the metrics and whatnot when I was getting ready to leave, thankfully he didn't linger too long. His wife calls in the afternoons and he has to run answer the phone when it rings! He should be retired by now, but has too many bills to pay and thinks he will never be able to retire because of them. I hope I get the job I'm applying for.

I didn't have as much trouble getting to sleep last night, but did have trouble staying asleep. I woke up several times during the night, mostly because I was having a lot of dreams.

I died in one dream, the last dream I had before the alarm woke me up. I don't remember how or why I had died, but I was aware of the fact and was watching people and kept appearing in different places. Some people could hear me when I spoke to them, but most ignored me. The dream was quite vivid and it was a while before I was fully awake and aware of my surroundings. I think my alarm had been on for a while beofe I realized I was hearing it.

When I ventured outside during a break today, I was surprised to see how much the temperature had dropped. There was a little bit of rain falling from the sky, but no snow appeared. I was a little bit disappointed, I've wanted to see a good snow and NC is getting our snow! The sky was pretty clear when I left work and the sun was setting. Traffic was thankfully light on the way home and it only took me about four minutes to reach my driveway.

The dog was in spaz mode when I entered the house and kept jumping on me and running all around, he always misses me. The cats greeted me, sniffed the legs of my jeans and then put me on ignore once I had filled their bowls with food. Dylan had cleaned his room and was playing one of the Heroes games. Tonight we're having parmesan chicken, which is a dish we really like. I'm in the mood for eggplant parmesan and will have to make some in the near future, I hope Dylan likes it. Perhaps I will just serve it to him without telling him what it is. He might like it.

Dylan is showing me a jalapeno with a bite taken out of it and telling me about how hot it is. He's a glutton for punishment.

Despite the achy feeling, my mood is pretty good for having just experienced a long day at work. I'm not sure what I will do tonight, I am in the mood to play horizons more than anything I guess. Though I do have a lot of books to read and need to do my post for the Inn as well. I guess I will see what happens after dinner is over.
