The noise level at work was terribly high today and it made it quite difficult to concentrate. I was tired from the lack of sleep last night and that makes concentration hard enough, plus my head was beginning to throb. My mind kept wandering off and I found myself having to run and fetch it more often than not. So once my 6 hours was in, I left early. (we can work a 6 hour day if we make up the 2 hours during the week)

Dylan was being a little drama queen tonight before soccer and I just wanted to dropkick him out the front door. I didn't, of course, but I still wanted to. He was being such a brat over the fact that I wanted him to wear a darn jacket to soccer practice. I mean, it is cold outside and he was only wearing cargo pants and his old soccer shirt. Sheesh. He's gone to the soccer thing now, so at least I will have a bit of peace and quiet. Perhaps my headache will vanish.

I watched School of Rock tonight. It was okay I guess, the music that was played was of course great. I just couldn't really get into the movie. I ended up doing some other stuff and sort of zoning out while it was on. Dylan liked it though.

I found a job to post for at work. It's for the Financial Specialist in Treasury Services. I have all the job qualifications and it pays almost twice what I'm making right now. I just have to get my resume polished and submit it by the 16th. Another job I'm *almost* qualified for pays like $120K a year and the only thing holding me back is the required 2 year experience in a similar position. Grr.

I feel like doing some painting. Not on paper though, on the walls. I'd like to do something creative, like mountains and sky and clouds in a room. Not the usual boring white walls. I might try something like that in Dylan's room, sort of since he requested it and stuff. He saw something similar on a tv show and liked it a lot. I will see how much the paint costs and maybe give it a try sometime soon.

There was a horrible, fat and quite icky looking spider lurking in the shower this morning. I, of course, did not notice the spider until I had halfway finished the shower.

It's disappeared and I don't know where it's hiding. :(

I'm still awake and it's after 2 a.m. and I want to sleep but sleep just won't happen right now. Since I was awake, I decided to get out of bed and put some thoughts onto paper. Of course, those thoughts didn't happen when I had the paper in front of me, so I just turned on the computer and read some stuff and whatnot.

I think I will try to sleep again. I doubt it will happen for another hour or two. If I'm still awake at 5, I will just shower and force my butt out the door and go into work early. I'd like to just head there now and get it over with, but I can't show up until 6.

Wish me luck.
