So Mason is now partially clipped and looks a lot less shaggy. I stopped to get cleaned up and have dinner, so will do the rest later today. I just have to shape his legs a bit with the clippers and bathe him. Doing a cocker spaniel cut for the first time is quite difficult. I think I did a pretty good job, though will have to even up his sides a bit more, one is higher than the other.

I couldn't sleep in the bed as usual and tried to snooze in the chair. Mason decided that he wanted to sleep with me and kept jumping up to sleep on the foot rest of the recliner, thus waking me. I guess I will try to sleep in the bed again in a bit, since he won't get up there!

I watched Underworld today and loved it! I hope there is a second movie and it's just as good!

I had more sodium intake than usual yesterday. I can tell because I can feel swelling in my fingers and feet. They do that whenever I have too much salt in my diet. I try to avoid it as much as possible since it causes the swelling, which sucks big time. I made the huge mistake of having some of the ham served at the holiday dinner and felt horrible for two days. My fingers and feet ached from the salt! Lots of fruit and water were in my diet after that episode.

Two low carb cookbooks I ordered came in the mail today. I spent some time browsing through them and like most of the stuff in them. Though the shredded cauliflower in place of rice seems a bit odd, and I despise cauliflower. ugh! I also received the latest Drizzt book, so will be reading that one tomorrow.

Dylan had a lot of trouble falling asleep tonight. He's trying to wean himself off of the sleeping pills he's been taking for a year now. It's his decision and it's been five days since he's had one and this is the first night he's had trouble. I'm sure he will be sleeping normally for the most part since he's been a great sleeper most of his life. He had trouble sleeping at the hospital and they gave him this med, he really doesn't need it. It helps depression too, but he's not having it like he did in December a year ago.
