Never is one so alone, as when they need someone the most the heart seems to beat infinitely slower thoughts come scattered and forceful People with happiness seem to boast Substitutes are found to try and to fill the void, the gap they are fleeting, addictions of the soul ever enlarging the void Once their truth is discovered they are mere scrap More and more alone the inflected become tears are shed for the neverwas regrets are made for the unchangeable Bitterness and lies sprout from the tongue The spark of being, of living, of learning dies despair claims her victim winter's cold bites in advance The hands move with lost-grace until stubborn twain ties From their perch in the air, the forgotten ones cry hearts cold and accepting minds clear but unyielding Unspeakable acts, unseen by the eye
