Anthea started her broadcasting career in BBC local radio presenting road traffic reports. Her debut on national television was with the BBC on But First This, Followed by the Saturday morning show Up2U. She then spent 3 years as a regular TOTP presenter. Her first adult TV show was Best Of Magic which she co hosted with Simon Mayo.
In September 1992 Anthea became the 19th Blue Peter presenter where she launched the most popular make in Blue Peter's history,Tracy Island.
June 1994 Anthea started on ITV early morning show GMTV, Next she presented the National Lottery on BBC1 which she continued to present until April 1996.
Anthea left GMTV in December 1996 and went on to present Pet Power, Turner Around The World and Wish You Were Here. In March 1998 she began presenting the National Lottery Big Ticket Show with Patrick Kielty.
In July 2000 Anthea teamed up with her sister(Wendy Turner) to co host Your Kids Are In Charge and in October Anthea released her autobiography Fools Rush In.
In her spare time Anthea brought out a few videos including The Y Fitness Videos,Body Basics and Tone, Lift & Condition.
