Ronald Hartshorn, a member of one of Kenilworths oldest and well known African-American families, will highlight his familys history and relate stories of growing up in the Borough at the Kenilworth Historical Societys Feb. 15 meeting celebrating Black History Month.  The program, planned in conjunction with Kenilworths Centennial Celebration, is a special tribute to the communitys African-American heritage, which can be traced to the 1800s, before the Borough was incorporated in 1907.

Visitors are welcome to attend the Feb. 15 program, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the Kenilworth Seniors Center, 526 Boulevard, Kenilworth, N.J.  Admission is free.  Light refreshments will be served.  Parking and entrance located at the rear of the building.

The Kenilworth Historical Society is an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to the research, preservation and promotion of local history.  Its regular meetings, open to the general public, are held on the third Thursday of each month, except July and August, starting at 7 p.m., at the Kenilworth Seniors Center.
