Short History: Taen Raenyc spent most of his life on the streets of Drevan, Diridan's main city. His parents had died when he was five and his cousin, Astirath, offered to take him in. However, Taen was too proud to accept charity and he found his own way to survive. During times of hardship, he had to resort to begging, but Taen usually managed to make enough money to live off of. One day, the Steward of Diridan, Addrun Vadak, had Taen whipped for refusing to bow to him. After that, Taen began stealing from Addrun's treasury, the only way he knew of to get the Steward back for the unjust use of his power. Addrun finally found a way to repay Taen for the damage he had domne to the Steward's pocket book, when Taen stole from a supply wagon that was later attacked by thieves. All the soldiers gaurding the wagon were killed and Addrun blamed Taen for their deaths. He told his youngest son, Cerraent, that Taen was the one who had killed the soldiers for the gold the wagon had been carrying. Cerraent set off after Taen, intending on bringing him back to the Steward in chains.
