Short History: Rehalan was found in the sands by a lone boy named Senath.
The twelve-year old boy brought him back to his clan, who refused to keep him. While Senath argued, the boy woke up.
They discovered he had no memory of anything before his awaking. Senath, believed to be the prophesied Dune Master, won the argument. The Dunelanders believed that if the boy had no family, or memory, he would be one of their own.
Senath had no parents. When he was five, he walked out of a sandstorm and into the Dunelander's lives. He was unharmed by the desert's many dangers.
The boy, who they named Rehalan, was raised as kin with the young Dunemaster. Two years later, the boy regained his memory while saving both Senath and the clan. He told them he was the prince of Diridan, and that he was separated from his family's caravan in a sandstorm.
The people could not bear to kill him, as was their law. So Senath took him out, far beyond the dunes, and spent three weeks with the boy. He instructed him in many of the ways of his people, and through that time, taught him the reason for his silence without ever telling him directly.
Rehalan vowed never to reveal the secrets of the Dunelanders, and then Senath killed him.
By taking the band off of Rehalan's wrist, it showed that he was no longer a Dunelander. Cerraent was escorted home without Senath ever speaking another word to him. When he reached sight of the gates, Senath left him.
