Short History: Raneryn spent the first half of his life as a petty criminal until a master swordsman took him under his wing and taught him everything he knew. The swordsman was strict with Raneryn, sometimes even harsh, and at first Raneryn hated him for it. But over time he realized that the man had to be that way to curb his rebellious arrogance. Raneryn learned quickly and soon surpassed the swordsman. One day, the town where they lived was attacked by a dragon and the swordsman headed into the hills to avenge the ruined town. There he was killed by the Torm-wrath dragon and Raneryn swore to avenge his death. Since then, he has used the main city of Thoronbar as his base while he goes into the hills to search out the Torm-wrath's weaknesses.
