| Real Name: Aldin Jones Alias: Hawk Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 14 Physical: Hair: Black Eyes: Dark Blue Height: 5" 6" Skills/superpowers: Hawk has no 'powers' to speak of. He has been trained in seventeen different styles of martial arts and is extremely athletic. He has several high-tech weapons he designed himself and carries with him. Short History: Hawk was born into a normal, middle class family. At a young age, his parents realized that he was different from the other children. He tended to stay by himself and he was always making something. To give him discipline, his parents enrolled him in a martial arts school and, within months, Hawk was a blackbelt. They enrolled him in several different styles and Hawk excelled in them as well. In his spare time, he built devices that came straight from his imagination. On his thirteenth birthday, Hawk came home after a martail arts class to find police cars outside his home. The police told him that his parents had been murdered and they were trying to find the killer. Hawk vowed to find their murderer, leaving his home and not looking back. Past Story: Aldin bowed to his sensei and jogged home, eager to see his parents again. It was his thirteenth birthday and his mom had been holding whispered conversations with his father for several weeks now. Aldin grinned to himself and began running, his typically somber blue eyes alight with excitement. He heard them before he saw the police cars. Three of them were parked outside his house, lights on and sirens running. He ran to his door only to be stopped by a cop. "Are you Aldin Jones?" the man asked. "What's going on?" Aldin asked in return. "Son, your parents have been killed. I-" "No!!" Aldin's mind raced. This didn't happen to his family...it only happened on TV. He pushed past the officer and ran through the door, skidding to a stop at the sight that met his eyes. His parents lay on the floor, surrounded by a spreading pool of blood. The expressions on their faces were horrible to behold, a mix of fear and anger. Aldin shook his head in disbelief, unable to believe this was happening. The officer stepped up behind him and turned him away from the living room. "I'm sorry, son," he whispered. Aldin shook the man's hand off his shoulder and ran up to his room. He shoved what he needed into his backpack--his inventions, a set of clothes his mother had sown for him, and the pattern the outfit was based on. He paused a moment to look at it. A boy stood against the white background, a mask covering the upper part of his face. The clothes he wore were mostly black, with a blue hawk spreading its wings across the chest and down the sleeves. A black cape fell from the boy's shoulders, its inside the same blue as the hawk. On it was written, 'Hawk, defender of justice.' "Why couldn't you save them?" he whispered to the boy in the picture, knowing that the superhero had been patterned after a dream. That he was Hawk. Aldin shrugged the backpack onto his shoulder and climbed out the window. He leaped gracefully to a treebranch, from there swinging to the ground and walking away. He refused to look back at his home. *I will find their killer,* Hawk vowed to himself, *For the boy whose life they stole.* |
