Short History: �aric Shenai was a baby when his parents and twin sister went to Addronry on a diplomatic mission. They never returned.
Their caravan was found in the desert outside Shanasan and everyone in it was dead, slain by thieves. The Council of Lords, a governing party �aden had set up as part of his move toward democracy, became the stewards of Shanasan until �aric came of age. During those sixteen years, most of the lords grew used to making the decisions and, even when �aric was old enough to become King, they still tended to drag him around like a little boy. �aric turned most of his attention toward the royal horses, trying to breed the best bloodline in all of Kalielan. He kept only enough of an eye on the council to know what was going on in his country, but the lords tended to give him information on a need-to-know basis and, in their opinion, he did not need to know anything.
