Short History: Cerraent was born in the capital city of Diridan [that is Drevan]. He was the second-born to Addrun Vadak, steward of all Diridan.
When Cerraent was seven years old, he and his ten-year old brother went to a diplomatic event in the high northern kingdom of Oweomyr. On their return, Cerraent was lost in a sandstorm and the house of Vadak thought he was gone for good.
Two years passed and one day young Cerraent returned from the desert. He claimed to have no memory of where he had been or what had happened to him. Some had suspected that he was kidnapped by strange travelers, others say he was taken in by kind fugitives. Yet no one believed that their perfect prince would ever do anything to bring harm to his people, so they welcomed him back in.
His brother, Saryn, grew to hate him fiercely and often told his father how lazy and useless his younger brother was. Addrun, whose sole pride was his eldest son, decided to send Cerraent out to war at the age of 14 to teach him how to be useful and not worthless and frail.
Cerraent lived through his first battle, and soon would not leave the forces at any time, even spending months sleeping in the barracks instead of the palace. As he grew, he sought to find favor with all men. And he did...all men save for the one he respected the most.
