Short History: Astirath was raised in the farming area of Diridan. When he was eighteen, Astirath met Eraliviel, a city girl who was visiting country relatives. He fell in love with her and followed her when she returned to the city. Eventually, she admitted that she returned his love and they were married. When Astirath's father died, his uncle and aunt moved to be closer to them. Eraliviel had a son a few years after and Astirath named him Galaen. When his son was six, Astirath's uncle was finally blessed with a son. They named him Taen, which meant _____ in the ancient tongue of the Diridians. Only a few months after Taen's birth, his father was taken away during the night and his mother followed a year later. Astirath and his family took Taen in, but as soon as the boy turned five, he insisted on taking care of himself. Astirath kept an eye on the boy as he grew.

Short History: Eraliviel Ennenra was born and raised in Drevan, Diridan's main city. When she was seventeen, her family visited relatives in the country. While she was there, Eraliviel met a young man named Astirath Raenyc. She fell in love with him the first moment she met him, but she kept her feelings hidden. When her family returned to the city, Astirath followed them. He found a job and visited her every day. It was obvious that he was deeply in love with her and, a year later, she finally admitted that she loved him in return. They were married when she was eighteen and Astirath was nineteen. Three years later, Eraliviel had a son, who they named Galaen. Her life remained mostly peaceful after that, though the Steward tried to kill them several times, believing that they were the heirs to the line of kings.

Short History: Galaen is the son of Astirath and Eraliviel Raenyc. He grew up knowing that he was a descendant of Diridan's kings and that Taen, his second-cousin, was the true heir. Astirath also taught his son that Taen's true identity must never be revealed, otherwise the Steward would command all his soldiers to kill the orphan on sight. When Galaen was old enough, he joined the army of Diridan to keep an eye on the Steward's movements. He would report Addrun's plans to Astirath, so his father could keep both his family and young Taen safe. Unfortunately, this also worked both ways, for Addrun knew that Galaen was a Raenyc. Galaen learned to never drop his guard, because to do so would mean he endangered both his parents and the future king.
