Gladiator Two beasts faced each other. The crowd was cheering on the two gladiators. One was a weasel with many tattoos across his body, armed with a rapier. The other was a ferret with a red stripe running down his back, wielding a claymore. The weasel charged the ferret. The ferret sidestepped and tripped the weasel. Taking his claymore, the ferret trusted downwards at the weasels unprotected back. �Didn�t I say to get a worthy opponent?� The crowd cheered for their favorite gladiator as they dragged the body off pit. The ferret cleaned off his blade, and yelled out, �Bring the next challenger!� �Sorry, Keleck. You killed all the challengers for tonight. But great battles, can�t wait until next weeks fight.� The ferret looked down at the small rat that came up to him. �Oh well, maybe next week you will be able to find a beast that can hold his ground, Weyad� �Well, the thing about that is all the beasts that would be able to fight you have either left town, or is currently on bounty hunts.� �Then go down to the slave market and see if there is anything like otters, or even badgers, they would put up a good fight.� �Right away sir.� Keleck watched the rat scurry away. He was a great servant, but he sometimes could never get what Keleck wanted. He walked out into the alley from a secret back door. He walked for a short while before he heard a voice whisper from a shadowy corner of a building. �Hello, ferret.� �What do you want?� he said to the voice. He was keeping alert for any sign of attack. He was always facing assassination attempts because he had killed many beasts family members who wanted revenge. �Why, to tell you of a fighting opportunity of a life time. I heard what you said to the rat about wanting a decent battle. There is place, and I will lead you there, follow me.� Out of the corner stepped a vixen, with a hooded cloak. She started off. Keleck was thinking about following her, but she could be setting him up for something. But the fighting opportunity of a life time sounded to good to pass up on. He followed the vixen through the alley, and they came to a back door. The vixen whispered something through the door, and it opened. She waved the ferret in. Keleck walked in and saw a what true gladiator pit should look like. Several arenas, with rows of seating. As he looked around, a voice started to mock him. �Have you even seen a gladiator pit before? Probably even can�t lift that sword.� Keleck turned around and found himself facing a fox with a battle-axe in his paws. �We�ll see about that, fox.� The fox sneeringly said, �You should show some respect for those who can kill you. My name is Lekder. Everybeast here knows that I could gut them as easily as this.� He snapped his fingers, �That's how I became the owner of this underground fighting ring.� The two beasts glared at each other. �Then I challenge you to a duel, for ownership of this place.� Keleck said as he took off his gloves, and smacks Lekder across the face. �I accept, ferret.� The beasts who were watched Keleck challenge Lekder cheered. �We will fight as soon as the seats are filled. And when you reach the gates of the Dark Forest, tell them Lekder sent you there.� �The challenger for tonight's bout is Keleck the ferret!� The crowd cheered as Keleck walked out of the locker room wearing a full plate mail armor (courtesy of the armorer). �And the defending champion, LEKDER!� The roar of the fans were deafening. The both circled around each other, then Keleck thrusted downwards with his claymore. Lekder leaped out of the way, as it dug into the floor. Lekder swung the battle-ax at the ferret as he tried to pull it out of the ground. He rolled underneath the ax-head, and kicked out at the fox. Lekder fell to the ground, and Keleck ran to his blade, ripped it out of the ground, and charged at the fallen fox. He swung it vertically at the fox, who grabbed his battle-ax and held it out to block the claymore. The claymore broke the ax-handle into two, and the sword dug into Lekder�s head. �Pride comes before downfall, and when you get to the gates of the Dark Forest, tell them Keleck sent you.�
