Pig Secrets

I finally have figured out some secrets to Dixie that make dealing with her SO much more simple.  They are listed below:

Pigs are routine animals. I didn't realize how much so until this past weekend.  If you normally feed your pig at 6 am before you go to work, please feed him at around that time on the weekends too!  If I don't, Dixie makes a HUGE mess of her pen. And also, if you walk your pig twice a day, do it all of the time, or your pig will get mad and make a big mess or do something else evil to show their irritation.

The way to a pig's brain is through its stomach. It is truly amazing how much pigs LOVE food.  I have seen people that love food, but their sheer joy of eating is nothing compared to a pig's.  I believe their love of food may have something to do with the fact that their sense of smell is so acute.  (Some police departments have been known to use pigs to sniff for drugs.)  Anyway, if you want your pig to do anything, just bribe it with some food.  Food is the key to teaching a pig tricks.  I also use cheerios to keep Dixie in her pool while I am giving her a bath.  (I place the cereal around the dry outer edge of the pool, and she goes around in circles in the pool eating while I am scrubbing her.)

Give your pig at least one good rubbing/scratching a day.  Your pig will know that you love him and he will love the attention.  Pigs can become evil around a person if they think the person doesn't like them.  The pig will snarl and groan loudly at a person if they think the person does not like them.  Scratching your pig daily will keep your pig from being evil towards you.

More secrets will be added as I figure them out.
