Who are we?
   Community Empowerment Initiative (C.E.I) is a local NGO operating in districts of Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Kamwenge in Western Uganda. C.E.I was formed in 1998 by members of various professions with the mission to empower the marginalized and needy among the community to come up with sustainable, low cost and gender responsive solutions to their problems and the vision of improving the living condition of the community through implementation of long term sustainable programs. C.E.I was registered in 2000 with the NGO board, ministry of Internal affairs of Uganda.
Objectives of C.E.I
  • To equip the needy and marginalised groups and individuals with skills which will facilitate them to improve on their lot
  • Promote poverty eradication strategies
  • Raise awareness to primary health concerns
  • To advocate for human rights especially children, disabled and women
  • Enhance management of natural resources.
