Season 8- Episode 17 - Bygones
Hmm, I think it's about time Mark switched to an electric
razor...it'd be terrible if he accidentally slit his throat while
shaving. (wait a minute, what am I saying!)
When did Ella get so much hair? Maybe Rachel's E had been cut
with Angel Dust or something.
And speaking of hair, when did *Rachel* get so much?
Lieutenant Gallant. Mmm, yes, there is *definitely* something
about a man in uniform <g>
Was Gallant carrying those eggs around in a bedpan?
And I'll say it yet again. Wearing scrubs makes med students look
waaay more mature than lab coats.
I can't believe that Mark is scheduling Chemotherapy for the *middle*
of his shift. He knows that it's not always possible to get out
of the ER at a specified time. He knows how crappy he felt after
radiotherapy and that Chemo is generally way worse, but yet he
plans to be going and treating patients even when he's ready to
hurl.
Romano "Stay away from love...it does things to the brain."
Maybe somebody should have warned Mark.
Patient who needed the liver transplant "What's to think
about?"
Uh hello! I have a sister that I'm very close to, but there's no
way in hell that I'd make a decision about donating a piece of me
to her in the space of five minutes. I can't believe they
ambushed her like that. Heck, I was half expecting Elizabeth to
say "Just sit up on the gurney here, let me get my scalpel
and we'll have it out of you immediately." I know there was
a time factor involved but that was just way too much pressure
too quickly.
Baby gym class? Please don't tell me that babies less than a year
old go to gym class?
Elizabeth to Charlie re Kerry "You're in perfectly good
hands."
Bit of a change of heart from a year ago when Elizabeth was
wishing a fatal disease on Kerry.
Hmm, Kerry needs to go back to last season's hairdresser. She's
much nicer with redder hair.
Mark should never have put Susan in the position of having to
cover for him in the first place. He should have told Elizabeth
immediately.
Poor Elizabeth. I actually felt sorry for her when she got
confirmation that Mark was sick again. I think that until the
Oncology nurse said that he was there, Elizabeth was still hoping
that she'd jumped to the wrong conclusion.
Elizabeth "How much time?" Mark "If this works, 10
months."
Wait a minute, don't tease us like that. I thought the doctor in
New York said only five.
Elizabeth "You're going back to work?"
Mark "I don't know what else to do."
Looks like Kerry's not the only one whose life revolves around
the ER.
Loved the 'gastrointestinal bric-a-brac' <g>
Susan "I can't believe you pulled [my pen] out of someone's
stomach."
Carter "Other end."
Susan "Keep it."
I don't think too badly of the girl for not wanting to donate
part of her liver. The sister seemed to be acting like it was *her*
right to have any part of her siblings body any time that she
wanted it.
Mark "I just had my first round of chemotherapy Kerry, I
feel like hell. I'm going to go home now."
So when exactly was he going to mention to his boss and
colleagues that he was having treatment for a recurrence? Was he
going to wait until he started puking up during a trauma? How
about waiting until he had a seizure while talking to a patient?
Mmm, cute Luka in sports clothes!
When Luka asked Abby "Is this the last [beer]?" I don't
think it was because he knew how many beers there should have
been and was worried that Abby had drunk them all. I think it was
more because of the way Abby looked at him when he took hers.
Sort of as if there *weren't* any more and she was pissed at him
cause he'd just finished the last of hers.
This should end speculation about whether or not Abby had told
Luka she was an alcoholic. No way in hell would she have been
sitting there drinking and so relaxed if she knew that he knew.
Grrr, damn you TPTB. Two years with Dave on the show and *now*
you bring in baby ducks?
Kerry to Sandy "You were right, you *did* do me a favor."
NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! I can't believe she said that.
Even though I knew what was coming, I was still hoping that Kerry
would have kissed Lopez and then said, "You did do me a
favor...but I could never be with someone who violated my privacy
like that and revealed something that I'd told them I didn't want
made public at my place of work. I could never trust you again,
so goodbye."
I also can't believe that Mark hadn't told Rachel. Didn't she
have the right to be warned of Mark's condition if she's living
under the same roof as him? She's 14. She's old enough to be told
what's going on.
What's the betting that Rachel isn't going to let Ella get more
than two feet away from her while she's minding her *this* time
<g>
And my usual rant about how Dave could have been used in an
episode. Well there's no contest...who better to be looking after
a bunch of baby ducks <g>
