Season 7 - Episode 4 - Benton Backwards
Didn't really have much to say about this episode and no, it
had nothing to do with the fact that Dave was barely on
screen...honest <g>
anyway,
first off, Abby saying that Kerry didn't exactly ask her if she
wanted to be assigned to the ER.
um, ever heard of saying 'No'? While I know that nurses
don't always get a choice in where they're assigned, I can't see
Kerry insisting, if Abby was dead set against it.
(remember back in season 3 or 4 when a nurse was assigned to the
ER and had
absolutely no experience? She ended up giving an amputated
foot back to the
patients parents while the surgeons were given a bag of the
patients
clothes. I think it ended with Carol getting assurances
that only ICU/Neuro
nurses would be assigned to the ER)
loved the line
Carter: We might still get him back (the bumsicle)
Dave: What? With a blow torch.
oh, and when the birds flew out of the guys coat, I was half
expecting to hear Dave yelp 'no...not the hair' as they flew
around him. hehehe
Nice touch, when Peter sees Romano in the ER, he doesn't call him
'Doctor'.
and I <love> the way Romano responds to Peter's insults
Peter: ...you arrogant little prick
Romano: Just keep working on those people skills Peter.
Purple does not suit Kerry...at least <that> purple doesn't.
Hmm, if you were going to a conference and wanted to wear a nice
outfit to it, would <you> wear it to work in an ER where
you are likely to get puked, bled, pissed, and spat on?
I'm just surprised the suit stayed intact all day.
And was it just me, or when Kerry was putting on her lipstick did
it look as if she'd never done it before?
Carter and the GSW. Wow, I knew that the patient was going
to get shot, but it was still shocking when I saw it.
Hmmm, sweaty Carter.....(nuff said)
For some reason after Gamma finished talking to Carter, I was
kinda hoping she'd thump the punch-bag to express her frustration.
Does Peter really think that a 3 year old....a deaf 3 year old
should be put on a plane on his own? Is he really that self-centred
that he expects Carla and Cleo to plan their lives around
<him>?
Abby, after seeing what Luka did to that mugger, do you really
think it was a good idea to sneak up behind him and press that
bandage to his head?
(okay, on rewinding, it appears she did touch him on the arm
before touching his head, but she still didn't give him much
warning.)
Mmmm, Dave looked really hot in his hockey clothes (bet he'd look
even hotter out of them....hehehe)
anyway, the next bit relates to future season 7 episodes

One of the good things about knowing what happens in subsequent
episodes is that I can attach unnecessary significance to things
which don't seem significant.
For instance, Mark's line 'Sometimes, as much as we like to give
it....hope
can be cruel'. Hmm, wonder if this could relate to Mark
being given hope of
surviving his tumor?
anyway, just thought I'd mention it.
