Season 7 - Episode 21 - Where the heart is
Ahhh, Reese gets cuter by the episode....
Loved the exchange between Dave and Randi
D - What do you see me in? BMer or Porsche?
R - Most of the time I see you walking
D - Okay, you can forget about a ride.
(loved the double entendre whether intentional or not <g>)
Okay, I know we're supposed to feel sorry for Ben, being beaten
up by his
Dad....but all I could think during his scenes was that I have
never seen
such an obnoxious little brat before.
Carla shouldn't worry about Reese's broken hand.....if he takes
after either
parent his bones will be all healed up in a weeks time.
And if Peter has shared custody of Reese and is apparently living
with Cleo
full-time, then why the hell would Reese not have a jacket at
Cleo's house?
Hell, even if Reese is just going to be there for a day,
babysitter or not,
he should have had a jacket there....of course then there
wouldn't have been
any chance for Carla to try coming on to Peter. (somebody
please pass me a
sick bucket....the scenes with Peter and Carla are even more
disturbing
because I just caught an early season 5 episode a few weeks ago,
and I loved
the way the two of them were acting together. Not lovers,
just friends and
both of them looking out for Reese)
I really don't see what else Cleo could have done to ensure
Reese's safety.
He's deaf...okay....but he's still a child....he can't be
smothered in
cotton wool all the time. Hell, one of the last times I was
on the phone to
my sister, she had to drop me in a hurry because my nephew (3 1/2)
had
grabbed the front door key and was in the process of unlocking it.
(note,
yelling at kids doesn't work, even if they can hear you...cause
they'll just
ignore you if they're doing something more interesting)
Okay, she probably *should* have had the piano lid down, but
she's not
experienced with dealing with children on a full time basis.
Hell, Peter's
more to blame for that, because he knows what Reese is like.
Kerry should keep her hair brushed back....it really suited her
when the
wind was blowing it off her face.
Abby seemed to go to the therapy determined not to be of any help.
What does she expect Maggie to do? Sit around in Abby's
apartment all day
taking her meds?
I know Abby doesn't believe that *this* time it's going to be any
different....and I'm just wondering whether she got herself dried
out first
time....or whether she had friends watching her.....wondering how
long
*this* bout of sobriety would last. You'd think that Abby
would understand
that sometimes people *can* change their lives dramatically.
Okay, I'm not going to get into a debate about abortion, but all
I can say
is that if Abby was so bloody worried about having a child then
why the
*&***& didn't she use better contraception....why the
hell didn't she get
herself sterilized or something....okay, okay, I know, it
probably wasn't
until she was pregnant that she started thinking seriously about
the
problems of a bipolar child...but dammit.
Somehow I'm not surprised that Dave was coaching the team.
I think it was
in 'Loose Ends' when we saw him start to talk Abby through an
intubation
(until Carter butted in) and I remember thinking then that he was
acting
more like a coach than a teacher.
For some reason Dave's line "Look alive, Luka" struck
me as being extremely
hilarious (almost to the point of shouting at the TV 'he can't
look
alive....he's undead' <g>)
