Season 7 - Episode 6 - The Visit

If I had missed last weeks episode I would never have guessed that Abby and
Luka had slept together.  When she asks him has he got a few minutes and he
agrees....but then two seconds later walks off to see his patient without
even an apology or an 'excuse me'....sort of like he was taking any
opportunity to avoid her.....
of course Abby had earlier just walked out of the exam room when she was
assisting Elizabeth with Mr Patterson - aka surfer dude.

And speaking of poor Mr Patterson.....I knew I'd heard a rumor somewhere
that Alan Dale from Neighbors was going to be on the show....didn't realize
<who> he was going to be.....all together now 'neighbors....everybody needs
good neighbors...'

Okay, how old is the average 7th grader?  Cause those two must have been
held back a hell of a lot.  I loved the look of shock on Luka's face when he
realized that the father of Teresa's baby was only in 7th grade as well.....
hmm, maybe he was thinking....'oops....so I shouldn't have put the arsenic
in Mr Ruiz's tea'

I know I said this before when the episode aired in the USA.....but
definitely
Dave picked the wrong time to try and apologize....Peter was ready to lash
out either physically or verbally at anyone who came close to him......just
a pity Romano hadn't picked then to annoy him.

Now, as for Dave's behaviour with Jesse.....yes, I know....if it had been
any other character, I would probably have condemmed them.....but Mark and
Elizabeth weren't exactly telling Dave to 'behave himself'......and in spite
of his crass and tactless remarks, he <was> treating Jesse to the best of
his ability.....and he wasn't the only one making comments...like
Mark's 'three doc's - no waiting'....

I did like Mark referring to him as 'Doctor Malucci', when Peter barged
in....it must be the only time I've heard Mark call him that.....

Now, back to Patterson.  I know it was only an 'outpatient' procedure, but
surely Elizabeth should have had to stick around for at least an hour to
check up on her patient....and why didn't she simply get another surgeon to
do the procedure....yes, I know...it's all part of the plot.....

Overall, I think this has got to have been one of the most depressing
episodes of ER I've ever seen.....almost totally lacking in any humor.....

Okay, there was Dave's comments about the guy who lost his hand....but they
sounded sort of forced.....I mean, I know the only reason those scenes were
in there was to show that Dave and Peter don't get along anyway.....
but can anyone name an episode of ER that had less humor in it?
Even AITF had the fun of the Valentine's party before Kerry found Carter and
Lucy.

anyway.....just my few euro's worth

It's so much fun when you know what's going to happen....for instance....

Mark to Elizabeth: "Headache."
Elizabeth: "Your neck's still sore from hockey?"
Ceindreadh: "Oh no it isn't...hahahahaha." (cue maniacal laughter)

and then there was
Patterson: "Will I be able to surf again?"
Elizabeth: "I don't see why not."

Ceindreadh: "Oh no you won't....hahahahaha...."

God I'm sick and twisted <g>
