As Purchased (Late March, 2006) With new Fork!  (April 16, 2006)
Being a DBR enthusiast and having ridden a 1998 V-Link 3.2 as my primary ride for 1.5 years, I couldn't pass up a good deal on this V6 on Ebay.  While I swapped lots of parts on the V-Link and got its weight down to 27 pounds or less, I kept this one stock except for the fork, which was a 2005 Marzocchi MX Pro ETA 105mm.  This is a little over 4 inches of travel and matched the 4.25 inches of rear travel on the V6 better than the original 80mm fork.  DBR sold the same frame with 100mm fork (and full XTR!) as the V10 model; so the geometry wasn't changed too much vs. their original intent.  I also put on a new WTB Momentum headset while swapping the fork, but that was it - the bike was dirty when I got it, but appeared to have had fairly little use.

The stock Stratos Helix Expert (air/coil) shock had a leak when I got this bike; so I first swapped on the Stratos Sport coil only shock from my V-Link and later changed it out for a correct Helix Expert I found on Ebay.

Overall, this bike felt more plush than my V-Link, which was probably due mostly to the fork difference, as the V-Link runs a Marathon S (double air) 85mm fork and essentially the same shock, but with lockout (Helix Pro).

This bike was very fun to ride, but I built a new full suspension rig and decided I had to make garage space for other projects.  Hopefully, it's being ridden and enjoyed now...
