The Great Hunt!
Summer of 1198 A.D.
Together Ramiro and I headed our separate ways from the rest of the party, but we did so on a good note. Gabriel, the ever studious, headed for "home" to relay the newest news to the "Boss". I gave him a statue for the little informant, I think she will get this one. I have a funny feeling that things will likely be less than sparkly when we get back there, if I even care to go back there. Or remember "Where" was in a few years seeing as how the thoughts of a past long forgot still dance in my mind. The information of a past I have forgotten about intrigues me, and frightens me all at the same time. I may have friend out there that doesn't know what has happened to me; on the same note though so would any enemies. As for right now I have other plans.
The Caitiff headed off with Bastetie on his own, they make a cute couple, he he he.
I have traveled back to the lands around what was once Buda, there were lots of Tzimisce in these parts last time. With the new Ventrue rule of the now Buda-Pest, the Tzimisce prince's of smaller stature were wiped out by the army Allison and I saw last time we where around. I had the funniest feeling that Balie were in the army for some reason, but information now suggests that it was Ventrue backed hmmmm.
This new city has none of the regular channels for meeting the new prince. There are liaison running around town that you have to hunt down if you wish to make your presence known but we are not staying long. We ran in to a Tzimisce running about with a pack of modified wolves that nearly took us out. Before we even really got to town we ran into her and wound up fighting for our lives. During the fight Ramiro was taken down because I didn't follow him to the house. I pulled his buns out of the fire, of course, but now there is a debit of trust there. I have figured out a way to patch that, but it will take a little time.
To add complication to danger we have now picked up an eastern fellow. An Assimite named Anoop has joined our mini group. He is a wicked fighter, proving that with the wolves, and seems skilled in tracking silently from a distance. He shaves his head on a daily basis and looks like a living armory. I would assume that he is at least somewhat skilled in the ways of those killers, so he would be a poor choice to make an enemy out of. I have heard that the word of one of these killers is a bond as strong as any contract signed in hell, but I don't think I can convince Ramiro of that. Then again he is Lasombra, they speak to shadows and don't even trust themselves.
With out the Caitiff and his strong opinions I would have thought this party more likely to succeed in getting our plan done. Now with the tensions created by our bald comrade and my friend of old Ramiro I again feel inner group conflicts will get us killed faster than Imran.
Anoop though seems to have no compunction against killing, but that was not a surprise really, that is what his kind do. He will be valuable to have around.
