. Andrea leads you down the Great Hall to a black door near the end. Through this door, you find yourself on a narrow stone ledge. Andrea puts out a hand and warns you not to go too near the edge. A stair spirals up along the wall, disappearing into the gloom far above. Below the ledge, the empty well of the tower continues down into impenetrable blackness. Yet you are not sure if you see something far below--a hint of mist, perhaps.

"It is said that this tower stood here before the Keep was built," Andrea tells you, as she stares into the depths as well. "It is uncertain who built it--perhaps it was the Cult of the Dead, that lived at Paranor before the coming of the Druids. They were not incapable of such things--they built the Hall of Kings. But it may be more ancient than that. However, the Druid Galaphile warned that its depths should not be probed or disturbed without great need."

Seeing that you are somewhat shaken, Andrea leads you outside. Have you decided that:

Perhaps you would not like to join the Druids after all?
Or would you like to see the Council Chambers and the Library before you decide?
