Keeping In Touch

I remember the way you used to wisper to me.
Before the last goodnight kiss, tucking away all the fears.
Kissing me gently on my forehead, feeling so secure.
Sitting with me, till the world was just a blurr.

Reading stories of fantasies and make believe.
Begging you for another one so you would not leave.
Holding me while I cried, telling me things were alright.
No mater how bad it was, in the end you were right.

Telling me in a soft voice that you loved me so.
Somehow you had healing power when I felt low.
Only a touch and love that a mother can give.
I will love you and charish you as long as I live.

Now some may say you have left this earth, no longer here.
But I know better, your spirit still comforts me when I fear.
You still sing to me when I am quiet and listen real close.
When you're near, comfort is what I feel and love the most.

You have never really gone, your spirit still lives on now.
Your love and caring still exsists, some just don't know how.
But I feel your warmth and tender touches on my shoulder.
I hear your whispers and comforting words much bolder.

So when I remember those childhood days, I connect back to you.
Smile with all my heart to know I had such a special person like you.
I was blessed with a Mother that could only come from up above.
Giving each and every one of us kids so much care and love.

So Mom till we speak again, thank you for the time you share.
For the life together here on earth, showing all that you care.
And thank you for your support and continuing to love me.
For your love continues to grow, and you hand it out for free.
