Biography:Brain_Stimpelton
BACKGROUND:
1) Where's your character from? Brain was borne in Happy Camp,
California Free State to his mother Erma and his father Gregor.
He had an 1 year older sister Grace and a little sister Agie who
was 5 years younger. He was raised in a medium-sized villaige of
about 10,000 inhabitants, orcs mostly...kinda rounded up and made
a place there like an orc rezervation. The reservation had all
the useful amenities, primary and secondary school systems and a
reallly excellent technical college. "Brain", short for Brainard
was very intelligent for an orc and surpassed all his piers in
studies. He graduated with a 4.0 average, cum lata and all that.
He double majored in computer science and language arts.His
father was an auto mechanic and his mother a nurse at the local
hospital. They lived a very comfortable life. His older sister
never went to college. She didn't feel smart enough and grew
weary of school after she graduated highschool. Grace worked at
the local gym teaching arobics. Angie was a senior and holding
her own. She took after her brother whom she loved and
admired.
All this changed one sunny weekend afternoon less than a year
after Brain graduated from univercity. It was a sunny day. Kids
were out in the street playing ball in the street. His father was
fixing up an ancient car called a hyundi or something. It was
really small. Erma was wacking an area rug with a broom trying to
knock the dirt out of it. Grace was at the gym and Angie was
sunning herself on a blanket in the back yard. Brain was reading
a technical manual under a giant oak that grew in his yard eating
a mellon and spitting the seeds at Angie and laughing to himself
as Angie was clueless where the anoying seeds were coming from.
Without warning the sound of engines roared overhead as two dozen
attack drones zoomed into view and suddenly rained lead down on
the entire villiage. Bullents and missles were everywere all at
once. Before brain could do anything he watched as his little
Angie took three shots in the back. Just as his father reached
his mother and started pulling her to the ground a missle
exploded right at their feet. There was nothing left to identify.
The entire villiage was leveled to include the gym. Brain was
saved because of the massive size of the oak shielded him from
the flying bullets and the sensors of the drones. He slipped away
secretly. He was crushed and his life changed forever.
It wasn't until months later and much research online that Brain
discovered the truth behind the attack. It seems that a man of
the villiage was conducting high level business with clients
oversees in Japan and got mixed up in a shoot out were he killed
the daughter of a high ranking member of the Yakuza. The Yakuza
tracked the man back to this villiage but they lost him within
the masses of the villiagers as the man lived by aliases and
disguise. The high ranking member of the Yakuza ordered the
villiage leveled and NO survivors. Brain was lucky to get out
with his life as he was the only one. The incident was covered up
by the government as a deadly epidemic and the entire area was
quarentined. Nobody was allowed into the area.
2) Does your character have a family? Presently Brain is married
to a wonderful half orc named Judy. She puts up with him and his
business trips that take him out of town sometimes for a week or
two. They live in a small suburb of Seattle in a nice little
community. Most folks there are tradespeople, blue collar
workers. They shared a nice cottage home with large rooms as both
of them are large. Judy keeps a quaint garden and likes plants
and flowers.
3) Does your character have an ethnic background? Brain and Judy
are Orc and Half-Orc. Most of the community around them are
metahumans, dwarves and elves and gnomes. Even some humans live
on the next street over. They all get along pretty well. Judy
even watches a couple of human kids during the day for a couple
in church.
APPEARANCE
4) What does your character look like? Brain is 180 cm tall,
weighs about 125 kg. Very fit for a man who works on computers.
His skin has a light tint of green in it but his hair is briliant
blue. His eyes are steel grey, and has big bushy blue eyebrows.
His teeth are orc teeth, with tusks that poke from the back of
his mouth. He has a bulbeous nose that's wrinkled and wants to be
a snout but hasn't quite formed that way. He has porkchop side
burns.
5) What does your character dress like? Typically you will see
brain dresses in a white shirt and tie. He wears a nicely
taylored leather vest over his shirt and leather breaches that
look like dress slacks. He wears a London Fog Leather long Coat
that hides his portable decking equipment and all his tools.
6) Does your character have physical quirks? N/A
SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, AND RESOUCES
7) Where did your character learn their Active Skills? Brain
learned his decking skills in college. He learned his weapon
skills from colleges whom he specifically asked to teach him for
that day that he could take his revenge.
8) Where did your character learn their Knowledge Skills? Brain
learned alot of his knowledge skills either in school or on the
street. Japanese he learned because he has a large clientel of
Japanese customers, and because he desires to know everything
about the Japanese. Latin he learened in college as his major in
International business. English/Cityspeak he learned on the
street and on the net. Lock picking he picked up while learning
to live on the streets.
9) Where did your character get his goodies? Mostly from trade
with gangs whose decks & systems he's worked on.
10) Where does your character live? As noted above, he lives with
his wife of 2 years in Seattle.
11) Who are your character's contacts? Eddie Cruiser -- Elf,
female, who supplied Brain with most of the components in his
current deck. Frank N. Steinbrenner -- Ork, male, he's been
trying to recruit Brain to help with the anti Japanese
underground in Cal. Free State.
Brain also has friends in low places who are connected to local
gangs. They taught Brain to shoot and pick locks in trade for his
knowledge of computers. Even gans have to keep their computers
bug free.
12) Who are your character's enemies? Brain doesn't have any
"known enemies" who are looking for him BUT he is certainly an
enemy of the Yakuza, and if they ever found out that he was from
Walla Walla...well you can imagine.
13) How did your character learn magic? (The only magic Brain
does is on the keyboard)
PERSONALITY
14) ����� What are your character's likes and dislikes? Brain
likes his privacy. When he is not in the shaddows he is all about
being a 40 hour a week workerws and comming home at night to
enjoy a nice home-cooked meal and watching the Mariners or the
Seahawks play ball. He likes to fish and loves to charter a boat
from time to time to do deep sea fishing.
15) What is your character's moral code? Brain is basically a
chaotic good person. He's all about honor most of the time though
he has infractioned the law from time to time. He works to
restore honor to his family and is not above revenge which eats
away at him daily.
16) Does your character have goals? Brains goal is to one day
pinpoint the killer of villiage and family and to exact his
revenge on that person or organization. He will find the exact
person resonsible. To attain this goal Brain must have the
courage and the resources to accomplish this.
17) Does your character have personal beliefs? Brain believes
that there is a power greater than himself. He is not sure if
that power is loving or not. He feel that the power is sorta
nutral when it comes to mankind.
18) Does your character have personality quirks? Brain snarls
alot, especially when he gets annoyed or agitated. People get a
little scared of this mannerism and it causes him to be disliked
by people. Put this together with his looks and it makes an
uneasy package for passers by.
RUNNING THE SHADOWS
19) Why does your character run the shadows? Brain runs in the
shaddows only as a means to get him to his objective. The
shaddows provide the income that he cannot get from his local
clients doing networks. It also keeps him connected to people who
are a little less than honest.
20) How does your character view his/her role as a shadowrunner?
Brain views his role in the shaddows not as a shooter, though he
can and has shot, but more of a brain to get past security or
break into corporate computers. He is not a leader though he can
lead if nobody else will.
