I
consider myself so lucky to have been able to get a hold of
Benchmark! I have wanted him since the day he was born. As
Benchmark's sire "Ace" is getting older and the once famous
"Minute Maid" is no longer here, I feel Benchmark was a must!
Benchmark not only keeps the "Ace" genetics in my herd, but also
brings back more of the "Sunkist" as well as the "Red Reflection"
genetics! Red Reflection is a 3/4 brother to Rocket Man who I
have used on most of my does. I feel confident that Benchmark
will cross well on the "Rocket" daughters.
Benchmark is a buck of tremendous size, stature and
body capacity! He is a tad taller than his sire. Benchmark excels
in smoothness of blending throughout. He is especially correct in
the height and sharpness of withers and the smoothness of
blending in his shoulder blade assembly. I also like the
substance of bone that Benchmark exhibits. Benchmark not only
classified excellent, but has many 1/2 sister that have also
classified excellent!
Benchmark's one maternal sister was the '95 Canadian
West National Champion and Best Udder. Standing Reserve was
"Minute's" littermate sister, GCH Borderline Red O.J. *M Minute
Maid herself, was titled Res. National Champion behind her dam
"Sunkist." Borderline Sun Wynonna is sired by "Sunburst" who is
"Minute Maid's" and "O.J.'s" littermate brother. Wynonna was the
'96 CGS National Champion! Reserve to Wynonna was yet again
another Sunkist daughter! Benchmark has large shoes to fill, but
I am confident by his yearling daughters that he will do good
things!
