AR CODE CONVERTER

Introduction
------------
This program only converts codes for No Mercy on the N64. It will port a code for the glitched version of the game to the correct code for the unglitched version

Usage
-----
First you must select what format the code you want to port is in. Address will port codes that are entered in the following style:
801234AB
801234AC
8124FA4E

Address and Value will port codes in the following style (the quantity modifiers are not altered, it just means you don't have to delete them all before using the program):
801234AB 00FF
801234AC FFFF
8124FA4E 02FC

Next you must select the offset for porting using the following as a guideline:
1A0 - Attires, Arenas and other appearance mods.
1620 - Usual offset, used for most codes
1630 - Button Activator (However, if a button activator is found within a code, it is automatically converted with this offset if the one being used is incorrect)
1600/1628 - Spirit meter codes etc

Now you have to type the codes into the box labelled 'Enter Code Here' or if the code is in the clipboard, click the 'Paste' button.

Finally, click 'Change' and the altered code will appear in the right hand box.

Congratulations, you've just ported a code!

For those with a PC - N64 link (via a AR Professional), click 'Copy' and the code will be placed in the clipboard ready to be pasted into your document used for uploading.

Errors
------
Ok, so your ported code has come out looking all weird, possible something like this:
F17902D0 1000
-1620 100
-1620 8E3
-1620 000
-1620 FFF
-1620 45F
The reason you've got this is because of a space at the end of one of the lines of original codes. The codes to be converted must have no extra spaces at the end of a line (like an AR file for uploading) otherwise you get the funny looking stuff! Simply go back and look for the extra space at the end of a line, remove it, and try again.

If you find any other errors, send me an email and I'll try and help you.

About
-----
This program was made because once again, people in the PAL territories got screwed. Not only can we not use the same codes as everyone else, they also removed the blood! Anyway, this should be a step toward solving this problem.

For those of you who want to know how I made this program, it was coded in Visual Basic and compiled in VB6. If anyone wants the source code, email me and I will send it.

That's about it, happy porting!
