We both love music, especially Jazz. There was this big 900 square foot concrete room in the basement and we thought, "why not just turn this into a music room?" The idea was to move Gary's horns, Christy's piano, and various assorted musical instruments down into this unused area. Somewhere between "Let's throw all of the musical instruments in that big room" and the theater room...the CLUB ROOM was born. We started thinking, if musical instruments, why not a stage? If a stage why not a dance floor? Well, a dance floor isn't complete without tables for the audience is it?...You get the idea! We wound up with a Art Deco, 1920's/1930's style "Club," that became one of our favorite rooms in the house. |
