So - this is it!  The big event that only happens six times in a lifetime, and this is the second last - the first viewing of a new Star Wars movie!

I'm pretty confident I'm going to like this one.  For one thing, I know way more about it than I should, thanks to Force.net (link on the right).  Second, regardless of what critics are saying, the fan reviews so far are ecstatic.  Right now the plan is a buddy of mine is buying our gang's tickets for the 8 pm'ish show.  We'll arrive an hour ahead of time or so, to get decent seats.  First nights are always the best!  That's when the crowd is the most excited, and you're surrounded by the truest fans.

I'd love to tell you all the parts I'm looking forward to the most, but you probably wouldn't appreciate it.  If you don't know a thing about the movie so far, I envy you, actually.  I went spoiler-crazy out of frustration with the Phantom Menace, and now that I know this movie is going to be better I kinda regret it.  So we'll see what I do about the third one.  Can I 'lose' the link to Force.net and not be tempted by any hint of what's in Episode 3?  It's my last chance to see a new SW movie free and clear of any preconceptions.  I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....

If I sound like a big kid right now, that's pretty accurate cause I feel like one too.  This is ultimate childhood-recapturing stuff, and I'm sorry for anyone who doesn't have something similar in their lives.  There's that sense of wonder you get as a kid, when everything's new, that you only recapture at special times in your later life.  I'm hoping tonight is one of them.
Hey, I know that ship .... !
