Meeting with Saftey in Mind
Meeting S/someone for the first time can be very scary.  Especially is this is S/someone Y/you met from the internet, a personal ad, or some other similiar venue.  There are a few key things to remember.  No matter what, if Y/you dont feel safe, or comfortable, DONT go.  No matter what the other person says, trust Y/your instinct, it could save Y/your life.    Here are a few tips to help keep Y/you safe
1.  Dont give A/anyone Y/your real email address, Y/your last name, Y/your phone number, address or place of work until Y/you are sure T/they can be trusted.  If necessary, use an email source such as Hotmail, or Yahoo to make an alternate email address.  These are excellent places to go, because they arent easily traced and Y/you can put any city for the location.

2.  Dont use any part of Y/your real name in a nickname.  For example, if Y/your name is Rosemary, dont make Rose_mary Y/your nickname.

3.  If Y/you choose to meet, always meet in a public place, preferably in the daytime.  Always bring a friend with Y/you.  Take an alternate route home so it is not as easy to be followed.

4.  Tell someone where Y/you will be, and for how long.  Make sure to leave an address and a telephone number.  Set up a time to call and check in.

5.  Get all the information Y/you possibly can about the person Y/You are meeting.  This may include, drivers license numbers and plates, birthdate, address, occupation, phone number etc.
Feel free to *check* the other person out.  This is Y/your life W/we are talking about.
