| Judy Mowatt has a treat waiting for you and it's 'Something Old, Something New', her latest release which hit the streets about three weeks ago. The singer is enthusiastic about the tracks as fans can enjoy some of her earlier recordings and revel in the latest. The 14-track album has songs that will lift the spirit and bless the soul. Of course, it doesn't hurt that they are delivered in a strong powerful voice that just sends shivers down your spine! 'Something Old; Something New' is a collection of songs from her previous albums and new ones written since her conversion to Christianity. Five of the songs were taken from previous albums. For instance, 'Many Are Called', 'Mother's Call' and "Strength To Go Through' are taken from her highly recognised album entitled 'Black Woman'. While 'Who Is He' and 'Hold Dem Jesus' were taken from the album 'Love Is Overdue'. According to Judy, these songs were deeply inspired and some were borne out of her own painful experiences. |

| Judy feels that these songs are timeless and addresses the past and present crises that mankind is facing today. She strongly believes that the songs representing 'Something Old' were very enlightening, however, they did not get the recognition they deserved. She is once again re-introducing them to a new generation of people a new era. 'Something New' features newly written songs along with two traditional hymns. They are 'Fear Not' written by Bello of 'Bello & Blacka' fame and 'Victory Is Near' written by Owen 'Blacka' Ellis, along with a song entitled 'Heal Our Land' which is taken from 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says, "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." The album is produced by Grub Cooper of Fab Five, Judy Mowatt, Benji Myaz, Sheldon Bernard and Paul Barclay. |
