Our web sites ROCK!! Check em!! KillerHerb.com for roach clips the likes of which you have never seen before. These elegant clips are a good grade of alligator clip mounted to Brazilian Amazon rainforest hardwood sticks - this wood (flooring scraps) has been rescued from the dumpster and hand-finished with linseed oil to bring out the rich colors and satiny feel to these woods. The mount point has been wrapped in leather and/or peyote-stitch seed beaded collar, and embellished with a variety of feathers - mostly collected from the wild turkeys that roam the mountains around us. These are sturdy and useful as well as beautiful. Plenty more reading on that website, so no need to repeat it here. Sacred Circle is the site Fred is building to display and sell my handmade Medicine Bags and Feather Smudge Fans. Medicine pouches are a traditional aspect of most Native American culture as a means to place items sacred to its keeper - think of it as a container filled with those things you cherish and that you can meditate upon. The smudging ceremony is a spiritual cleansing ritual in which sage, cedar and/or sweetgrass bundles or loose herb are burned in a vessel (abalone shell seems to be common) and fanned in the direction of those things that one wishes to purify in spirit - by use of a feather fan. The fan can be comprised of a single feather or clusters. I make the latter, and out of some very colorful donations from parrots, pheasants and peacocks - as well as many wild birds, particularly the turkeys mentioned previously. These two sites are under the umbrella of RoaringCreek.com - the site Fred began nine years ago (not weeks after he'd learned how to plug in and turn on a computer - another long tale!). This site is a work-in-progress; I'll be adding a huge variety of beaded jewelry during the next few weeks. Everything is set up to Buy-it-Now by credit card or PayPal, and ships Priority Mail next business day. geocities.com/celestialbycece is my .. portfolio of ALL the things i have made. Some unique items NEVER to be remade.
